I have my wheelbase at 302mm. Obviously a gap between cab and cage. I wasn't going to try it yet, but could not resist. Just pondering how to fill the gap or bring cage forward.

Pete. I don't even know what Class 1 is. No comps around here. In fact since my nephew moved away, I'm the only scale truck driver I know of. Nobody else seems interested. That's why I almost gave up on the scale stuff, but I enjoy the building and engineering my own parts when I have time.

Mitch, you and I are in the same boat as far as not having anyone to crawl with. The closest crawlers are an hour or more away, and I also enjoy the R&D and tinkering.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, Oakridge, Oregon. We are right at the base of the Cascade Mountains about 35 miles east of Eugene.

I'm down in the South West of England. Plenty of walking/biking trails nearby. Couple of local shops here, but one is mostly flying, but he got my Ascender for me, and I bought a Glamis Uno off him a couple of years ago and the other doesn't 'get' scale or rock crawling.

Mine also is 302mm wheelbase, I put 3/16 spacers between the cab an also the cage halves, perfect fit an still looks good there will be a small gap between the aluminum plates an the cage upright but it will fit that wheelbase .

I was thinking about that, probably look great! I'm going with K10 cab for now, but I'll check out how the 66 Ford Proline cab lines up with the K10 cage for later. Do you have both Pete959?

Is that the proline 66 F100 cab and Vaterra K10 rear cage?

Can someone with the puter know how post that pic here?

Sounds cool to me if it fits together!

Ok, so I want to change a couple little things well maybe just a bit more than a little.I do know that this is the last time you will see it the way it sits now. Can you say "LOWER".

Something I notice right off the bat is the sliders on the drive shafts are bigger than what came on my K5.

While I'm changing out to my beeftube axles I thought I would do a over haul on the stock shocks. I buttered up the bottom O-rings with some losi green shock grease.

Also drilled out the piston with a 1.9mm bit. I also took this part one step farther, I tacked the piston to the e-clips so the hole would not spin back under the e-clip.

I also put the 6mm bump stop on the inside of the shocks for a limiter.

I got more done but didn't get photos yet.
So all for now.
Ernie,

What did you use for bumpstops in the shocks?

I don't have anything on the outside of the shock shaft as a stop. If I think I need one later, I will just use O-rings.
