New Ascender K10 in town Just placed an order for a K10.Couple of question wich i didnt find answer in this forum, maybe wasnt looking enough.Whats the best option for a standard battery tray?Whats the recomendations on a servo,as in power.Just waiting now for the thing to arrive. As there arent so many threads for K10,i will have questions in the future |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town And forgot,i seen the k10 comes without sliders.Wich ones should i go with?Vaterra ones or ssd? |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town Batteries, I use Turnigy nano-tech 3s. Checked the size and they are 104 x 27 x 35. Wider batteries would fit, but 104mm is the length limit. Don't know about sliders. I still have the stock ones on. |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town K10 doesnt have sliders.so witch are the stock ones?the ones from the blazzer? |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town Yes sorry. I have the Blazer kit. Best someone else suggests what works with K10. I assume they will work, that's all I know. |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town I got the Rc4wd sliders for the Ascender. I like the way they look on there. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...ceab8ad141.jpg Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town They look pretty slick with the tubular cage.Think i might go for them |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town SSD came out with some sliders for the K10. Little different design than what you find on the Blazer. |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town Wow they do.... Even with the gap... Don't know much about sliders, will the relatively long bars hinder performance at all? Slick, is that body lowered? |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town I just brought the body mount posts down one notch to even it up with the bed. I also trimmed the front bumper mounts to bring the bumper back flush with the body. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk |

Re: New Ascender K10 in town I trimmed off the front of the bracket to bring it back to the body. Should be able to get a pic for you tomorrow. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk |

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/vater...cender-37.html I cut 5/16" off which is about maximum and still get front axle articulation without tires rubbing backside of front bumper. |
Re: New Ascender K10 in town Shortened front bumper mounts 5/16" to suck the front bumper back almost touching the K10 body just below the grill. Drilled the bumper mount holes all the way through to get good screw engagement. Looks much better and approach angle is greatly increased. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...pswh8gvvpd.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psl6q3kbct.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps1fsa3axy.jpg Rockhugger bumper mod! Front and back views, just cut along the internal ribbing on the backside with a sharp utility knife, then removed about 1/8" from bottom center, smoothed up the cuts and around the two mounting holes. And mounted! "thumbsup" I'll get a couple better pics from front and side. Bumpers still seem plenty strong. Did the front and rear bumpers on my Va-Blazer too, will get pics! :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...pshw9gqido.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psvyku7gqx.jpg Better picture of K10 front bumper after trim. I'm sorting through the Lunsford site catalog for some higher clearance HD front steering links, looks like 4x132mm with stock plastic rod ends and draglink above the knuckle will be the ticket. ;-) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps4ubmgqkn.jpg |
