Built tires for this truck yesterday, just to tear them apart tonite.
After I built them I noticed that that the foam moves side to side on the bead ring.will not know how this affects performance for a bit,but there they are.
Also got my wheel wells in,a little custom work/cutting due to the interior.

Those Losi shocks are excellent, I have couple sets in 3.5 and 4.0".

Tekin FXR is excellent esc and awesome paired with 35 turn motor and 3S!

Both my stock RTR esc are doing great, but I wish the deceleration transition from throttle barely cracked to off wa smoother. JatoTheRipper has HobbyWing WP1080 and loves it, nice it has adjustable switching rates to quiet it so you don't hear the high pitch whine, also nice and quiet with Tekin FXR. . Swaybar and springs looks sorted, good looking Chevy.

The main thing I've noticed after plowing through the treads looking for inspiration on the interior,is no Chevy truggys to be found.now this rig isn't going to win any gallery awards, but hopefully it will be a one-off and turn head on the trails with just straight dominating performance.I WISH. LOL.

Well I needed to make a trail run with this truck to feel out the weak spots.got a couple hours today to go out to my local trail spot.a 7 mile loop for mountain biking,my tf2 made the whole trip 3 times.no telling how many half trips.as soon as I out the truck down a headed straight to the tf2 old nemesis.
The very top is were it gets sketchy, creasting the top is extremely difficult.it took a couple of true but this rig will take this hill

The truck is very capable, for a hard body rig.it was very fun trip, this thing eats terrain.
So climbing isn't a weak spot for this rig,the ci foams and rock beast performed as people have stated before.my next test was down hill, this is were my tf2 just sucked and would roll end over end every time.this truck seems to do very well, everything I climbed I could decend.still a lot of work to do but the proof is in the performance....
Awesome

After I got home from the first trail run I wanted to add a few items.every truggy needs a fuel cell right
And what's the use of a spare tire if you don't have a Jack.
I'm thinking proline truck box for the area right behind the can, looks empty
I added a driver too

Well I did a lot of research before ordering a bumper,at the end of the day I wanted a tube bumper so rc4wd it is.
I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.
Maybe a ox power ssd winch will set it off.I guess we will see.

I'm still not sold on those bumpers either. I think they'll get caught up a lot with the open spaces and stick out too far. For sure needs a scale winch mounted to it and I think that'll help with appearances. Glad you're going to straighten it out too. I think the ref of the truck looks great though. Seems very capable from your videos too!

Yea Ben,that bumper is kind of an experimental thing.but it does grow on you.I do think leveling it out and slapping a 50lbs winch on there will bring it around.
As far as capablilty....I should have a flat bed...so I can carry tf2s through the bonus gates.lol....but it is a joy to drive and to look at.I think that's the whole game there.

Ok guys I reworked the bumper mounts and got it level.
And I added locknuts to the mounting bolts,it is a solid piece now,the only way it could be more solid is to weld it to the frame rails.

Well here's some of parts I got in today.
The 1080 is a neat piece, for 36 bucks shipped I have no problem with it.the programming is the same on my rs gen2 in my comp rig.I set the parameters as follows
1.option 3
2.option 1
3.option 3
4.option 9 high starting force/torque
5.option 4
6.option 4
7.option 9
8.option 1
9.option 9
10.option 4 drag brake rate,no slamming into brake on decel...
11.option 4
12.option 9
13.option 5 the higher the smoother
14.option 2 bec set at 7.2
15.option 2
These will change a little after some testing, but I know I like strong start up and smooth transition from forward to stop.
