Thanks for the pics with calipers! So how snug is it in the tray, little fore/aft or side to side wiggle or none or?

I see your WP1080 ESC up front next to steering servo, where's your receiver?

Thanks for the layout pics, looks like good fit! Might re-route wires to rx or use some short extension plugs to keep the wires inside the frame rails as much as possible, but overall very nice.

Is that a winch or lighting controller box stood up on left front inner fender?

But I'm sitting here and just now realized,i have never ran a 3cell Lipo in any crawler.I have just always ran 2cell because I never really thought it as that much different.is there a advantage one over the other?besides the wheel speed of course...

Switch to 3s, set lipo cutoff in ESC, drop 1-2 teeth on pinion gear, crawl with more low speed precision and wheelspeed when you need a little boost!

Enjoy and repeat as needed lol.

Well I got half that done, the esc is set to auto adjust, and 3.2 per cell....I'll pick a pinion up 2morrow.looks like nice weather Sunday,I'll go out to dlb and try the 3cell..my only concern would be the integy motor,it might not like the added voltage in big quantities.but I'm not a lead foot so I'm sure it will be fine.

Eh my old Integy 45T lathe motor ran many 2s and 3s packs for years no problem.

If you can set your cutoff higher, it might be better for your battery. I believe 3.2 is too low. Setting it at 3.6v, you might lose only a few min of driving time. Personally I set mine for 3.7. Takes about 5 min charging to reach storage voltage. Having had a few conversations with Tom from SPC, learned how far a battery's voltage can drop under load at the end of a cycle. Setting lvc to 3.2, some of the cells within the pack (especially packs with parrallel cells,as the cutoff measures the average of the cells wired in parallel, not individual cells, so 1 cell could drop to 2.8, while the cell it's wired with will be at 3.6. And the cutoff reads it as 3.2, and your killing the low cell) can drop under 3v before triggering cut off. Not good. He suggested setting it no lower than 3.5, preferably 3.6. I started setting to 3.7, and have not lost a pack since. Whereas before, I was wearing out packs often. I also noticed I was loosing only a few min of run time on my high powered 4x4 sct trucks. I hate to see someone burn money on batteries. Losing that couple min of trigger time could double the cycles your getting out of the pack is how it was explained to me.

Thanks for the advice rag6.......I looked at cell voltage after killing off a new protek 2cell...one cell was lower in voltage than the other.......hell you proble saved this batterys life....consider your self a hero....lol....

It's gone before I found it... Dang it.

My son wants a Chevy cab on his ascender and this build is a perfect template.
Awesome build and I will be using it as a cheat sheet ;)
