Mocked up the bed in cardboard, 30 mm deep makes it flush with the top of fuel cell radio box, just shock towers sticking up, or cut a bit more away and I can get it down a fair bit more.

Have decided to do a tow truck so the shock towers sticking up is no problem, I will bolt some plastic links to them to make the tow truck crane.

But my offer still stands on the replacement.

Ya i think that would help 1 run after I installed your axles it happened to me as well pulled right of the diff. I had to redrill and tap thru the brass. I was so bummed I thought I ruined the brand new diff. It wasn't bad assembly on your part the poor design on the diff housing being plastic and using only 2 screws threaded into plastic.

Made a little progress on the C10/K10 body, cut front wheel arches, made the bulk of the styrene bed, seems a shame to cut a big hole in it!, maybe I will work on a cantilever shock set up and have a true drop bed.....

Wheelbase will be 290mm for this body, maybe even get away with stretching it 2 or 3 mm more.

Friendly trail run today, also took the long way home via the beach and dunes rather than the main road. Come across some others enjoying RC fun.

This is the long way home, via Stockton Beach. It's a massive sand dune beach that we all used to wheel on and camp in the dunes, have Bon fires and fun, but these days the do gooders restricted access and strict control over the place blah blah blah.. it used to be a massive free for all, bikes, buggies, four wheel drives, camping, those were the days!

Some big nitro rc buggies tearing up the dunes! Prolly a rule against that now too!

Got some RC4WD 1.9 IROK tyres in X2 SS compound as part of my prize pack from the RC4WD Australian Challenge! Mounted them up today on some eBay china beadlocks.

Just gunna run them unweighted with stock foams for now, they feel very soft.

Wheels seem to be very good quality.

The Iroks are taller than my poor old Scorpios, but the old CI DW XL size foams
Seem a bit big to fit properly, there is just no air gap between the foam and the tyre.

Crawler Innovations recommend the deuces wild rock beast foam for the Iroks so I have a set on order. These tyres are bigger on the outside than my XL Scorpios but smaller on the inside, plenty of air gap with the XL foam when it's inside the Scorpio tyre.

Man, you've legit worn out a set of tires! I thought my tsl's were getting worn out on my truck but not that close. Must have some serious hours on those tires and lots of harsh rock climbing. The new tires and wheels look good. I had good luck with the China beadlocks I had too.

Hi Itali83, I suppose I have done quit a few hours on those tyres! They still work great.

Those China beadlocks are great value for sure, this is my 2nd set of China wheels, they assemble easily, all threads perfect, neat fit and finish, easy to mount tyres etc.

Did the only right thing to do and beat the newness off of the new tyres at the nearby gravel pit!

You do anything special with yours? I bought a set, did the simple green bath, beat on them doing donuts hoping to break them in decent, and I still cant get them to grip well.
