I gotta tell ya that winch up was pretty impressive. I did not realize you could actually do that with a RC crawler. |

The winch is made from the Ascender rtr steering servo ( 9kg ) and is run straight off the receiver, it has just enough grunt to pull the crawler up vertically and almost holds it when stopped, it just creeps down ever so slowly. My Ascender weighs about 3.5 kg. Don't throw you old steering servo away when you upgrade! Send them to me so I can make a spare winch haha! I see guys with 20 kg servo winches, always wondered what would happen if the winch line was run over the top of the body, hooked on to the rear bumper and winch accidentally started....... |

You should be able to embed your youtube vid link, like this. Choose the 'SHARE' and then 'EMBED' option, copy the link and paste here. Nice vid BTW, great place to crawl. Like CA, it was sunny, clear, and 83 yesterday. |

I have tried many times to use the embed link but when I submit reply or preview post it comes up " a problem occurred with this page and it was reloaded" or some other crap..... I will give it another shot later today when I do part 2 |

Try a system reboot, make sure you have all your updates. I get that on a iPad mini from time to time. There are so many browsers and updates and configurations it's a wonder the web developers can get anything to work. DAMHIK | |

Comp Day! Forgot to take any pics of my Ascender, doh! Also had a great time bashing the Twin Hammers here too! Location is Kincumber Mountain Reserve, Central Coast NSW Australia. Here are a few pics of every other crawler for you to enjoy. |

That's a good collection of crawlers you have there MPG1959! I see you are running Jconcepts Scorpios on you F100, cool! I ran the first course yesterday early on and the rock was a little damp, the first few guys had very little traction no matter what brand of tyres, then after things warmed up and dried out it was very grippy. I Re ran that course again later for fun and the Scorpios hooked up everywhere. |

Yes thanks to you I have found a new tire, the Scorpios hooked very well with zero run time on them. I did soak them in simple green for two days before mounting them though. They are now sold out everywhere I've looked, bummer!
