Work is over for the year, my son is at his grand parents, so time to have a cold beer or two and test fit the sway bar on the bronco, fits like a glove. |

Sway bar reduces flex in rear axle, rear wheel is just getting a little air in this pic. But test driving it and has hardly any torque twist, I think I may have guessed just the right amount of bar length, diameter and arm length for the set up to be just right, later when I drop the shocks and back the preload way off I think it will keep all 4 wheels on the deck when propped up on the radio. |

Great sway mount. Nice how it keeps it out of the way of the shocks, frame, and k10 cage mount. Someone should make these...

First outing for the Bronco, cut down front bumper, SSD steel wheels, old well worn Vaterra TSL tyres and CI lil nova foams. Spring preload backed off a little and sway bar still on the bench with a stripped thread in one of the arms, gunna have to tap it out bigger and go 4mm grub screws. |

It's been damn hot here!!! I have failed with the home made sway bar arms, the aluminium I used is too soft and the threads keep stripping out. So I gave up on them and ordered the hot racing wraith set..... Also got around to baking the new tyres off the RTR rims and fitted them to the SSD beadlocks. Cut the rear lexan bumper off too, it was already starting to tear the body in one corner, it had to go anyway for the new rear bumper I have in mind. |

Yep, cold here, hot in Australia for Christmas. What kind of snakes do you have to watch for? Here we have lots of Rattlesnakes. Too bad about the swaybar arms, they looked great. Try relocating your rear upper links like Pete959, Codyboy and I have done, really helps out with TT. Good to hear you got tires off and mounted on SSD beadlocks. What rear bumper you thinking about? |

The snake skin was a bit brown in colour, so assuming the skins look the same on the snake as when off, I would say an eastern brown snake, brown snakes are badass! I think most of the top 10 deadliest snakes in the world are from Australia, and the brown snake is right up there. Sadly, you will hear in the news from time to time of people killed by snake bites... I have seen many snakes over the years, in the bush and around homes, yards and farm houses, but have been lucky enough to not surprise one or accidentally get too close, there is one snake I have never seen in the bush, a death adder, I remember from the news that a small boy died last year from a death adder bite, very sad. Reminds me that I must enforce better footware for my son when out crawling! |

Natedog, do you see many rattle snakes? They seem pretty badass too, and that rattle! Awesome, is it something you get to hear often? I only have the Hollywood/TV image of the rattle snake to go on. |

Sometimes see several per outing, usually more on mountain bike rides or road bike on the greenbelt. They don't usually coil or hiss/rattle unless you bother them. Always look before you step. I've had them strike at my bicycle wheel when using it shoo them off the tarmac on the greenbelt trails. MTB riding, usually hop over them, didn't see nearly as many this year for some reason. Two years prior, I saw them almost daily.

That's pretty cool seeing all those rattlesnakes! The stock Bronco steering arrangement just had to go, made the servo link longer and ran it right out to the arm. Much better. |
