I like the skinnier look! Cut some Proline foams a little narrower to fit. |

I will definately experiment with foams in the future, the X4 tyres carcass is very thick and heavy and nothing like the scorpios at all. You couldnt get 2 more different tyres. The scorpios are soo thin and flexable all over and the X4's are thicker, heavier and stiffer all over, they have lotsa rubber in each tyre, im thinking the softer the foam the better in these X4's for sure.

COMP DAY! Boat Harbour, New South Wales, Australia. Hosted by North crawl RC. I was too busy setting up courses and scoring to take many pics, then after a few of us went on a trail drive. cool! |

I got a couple pics of the guys sway bar on his SCX10, the bar is made from the little flat strip of spring steel from a cars windscreen wiper blade. the sway bar arms are made from aluminium round bar, drilled and tapped on one end to clamp down onto the flat bar, and drilled and tapped on the other end to accept a ball stud. theres also a tube installed between the chassis rails that the flat bar is housed in. some good ideas on this sway bar build for anyone thinking about making something for the Ascender. |

a few pics from our trail drive after the comp, a bit colder today and wind was fierce! but we had a good time exploring the rocky shoreline. The granite at this place is very grippy, hard on tyres and drive trains, really happy with the new X4's and the Boom Racing alloy steering parts. I have got the tyres scrubbed in now and happy with the RC4WD Irok foams, they will do just fine until I can get my hands on the propper OTTSIX foams. |

Damn, never fails to amaze me as to what great terrain you have for crawling! That last picture, such variety in view, all at once... What's funny/sad about Texas, is that even though we are a huge and somewhat lightly populated state - there's hardly any public land, and what there is often has a nonsensical policy of chasing out RC rock crawlers, even when they only arrive 2 at a time! I basically have to find out of the way spots and sneak in... (going on a solo run later today, in fact) |

That’s pretty crazy Durok, who in their right mind would worry about a few people playing with there rc cars outdoors! I gotta say we are quite lucky with the available places around locally and amount of public land we can all access. I haven’t even started on some of the nearby state Forrest’s and National parks, some have high elevation and even get a little snow in winter. The terrain is quite different again in these places, sub tropical rain forrest, vines, fig trees, ferns, slippery clay, creek and streams, leeches! I must get out to these places soon and have another trail drive there! |

| Re: Yeti.Stealths Ascenders Miatardo and myself got told to leave by a park ranger at a state park that must have had maybe half-a-dozen people total present, and none within sight of us. We were on a footpath, not even off the trail. We had been out of the vehicle for maybe 10 minutes. Killjoy! Anyway, I had a lovely time on a solo crawl today close to home, at a neighborhood park in a dry creek bed. Got one hour exactly and snapped a rod-end off the Bomber steering link. No biggie... (shoulda brought the Ascender as backup...) |

Havn't made a vid for a while, had some time yesterday to explore a small part of the sub tropical rainforest of the Watagan Mountains, it takes me about 40mins drive to get to this place. I should explore it more often! Dusted off the gopro and took it with me, here is the footage for you to enjoy. |

The red wheels are no way gunna look good on my K10! I could only get them in red or black, it was a shame to strip the red anodising off as it was a nice finish, these china wheels are very high quality, every screw, thread and surface and the fit is perfect. |

I always wanted this style wheel! No way I could afford the RC4WD ones and postage would have put the ox rc parts version out of my budget too, so the cheap wheels it had to be! |
