I was thinking the same thing. The body came with the holes in it. I may have to return it. I got my dad he Bronco for Xmas. He is going to bring it over tonight. I will get to the bottom of this and post the issue whether I look like a fool or not.

It is hard to tell from pictures, but it looks to me that if the body was mounted about 1/4" further backwards, both of the wheel wells would line up perfectly.
Good catch Calvin! I think you nailed it.
Cary, when your dad comes by and the holes on his body match yours, one fix would be to put the holes where you need them and put some decals over the other holes to hide them. Just a thought?

I was disappointed it had holes. I'm not a hole fan. My 1:1 has no holes

What's the advantage of using these axles?

Lowers the center of gravity. This helps to stabilize your truck when climbing, going down hill and side hilling.

OK everything is the same as the kit except the battery mount. I am going to try to shorten the rear links a little to get the rear axle more forward.

I shortened the rear links upper and lower about 10 mm. Even the RTR Broncos rear axle looks to far back IMO. It looks good with 1.55s and the body lower. I will have to shorten the rear drive shaft to get full compression. So unless anyone has a convincing argument against this that's what I am going to do. Next is electronics.

Do you have a kit manual that shows all of that?

Hey Jon, good to see you popping in on us

I was sitting here at halftime and decided to take a pic of the ride height and WB with the shortened rear upper and lower links. Looks good to me. We will have to see how it performs after I get an ESC and motor.

I installed 2 speed servo last night. I had to trim the reversed battery tray mount slightly for the shifter to clear. I can foresee moving the upper links any farther forward being and issue with the 2 speed. I also started cutting poster paper to see how I can deal with the rear shock tower and motor/trans in the interior. I returned the painted body and ordered an unpainted one so Dad and I won't be twins and I don't like holes. I also treated myself to a Tekin FXR and 40T pro motor from RPP Hobby. As fast as they ship I should have the chassis RTR this weekend. I am going to do Nates shock mod next chance I get.

Ernie- I see you mounted your 2 speed linkage the opposite direction. Was that for rear upper link clearance or was that an unintended benefit?

Hi Cary, sorry I took so long to get back to you. On my Bulldog bronco I'm using a GCM ascender motor forward plate and the motor/gearbox are reversed in direction. I had to turn the shift shaft around so it was coming out the back. Hope that helps!

Looks like chassis is set wb2, should be wb1. Btw my clear k10 and clear kir K5 bodies both came with mounting holes already punched. Outside paint looks good and is good option too. I've got spare suspension links too, just in case.

It's on WB1. I think I have it worked out. I won't really know until. I get her going. I didn't really want the off the shelf blue anyway. I hope it comes without holes but I will deal with otherwise. Thanks for the offer on the links. I have a few remaining. What do you think of the proline 90 mm shocks on this? I have 2 and put the on the front. Not a lot of travel but it seems to work for a class 1. They are silky smooth compared to stock shocks.
