In his photos I noticed that the VP ring gears are on the opposite side when compared to the stock Vaterra axles. Was there any reason for this?
Probably to maintain accuracy with the full-sized axle.

Scale looks

The ring gear is on the passenger side of the full size Curries so Vanquish puts it on that side for their version too.

What sponsor decals do you have on the window? Often sponsor stickers look too large, but you seem to have found the correct size to keep it scale looking. Thanks.

They sure are pretty. Anybody have an opinion if they are worth it yet? I guess what I really want to know is: Anyone that has run Ernie's axles have an opinion if they are worth it? How do they compare weight wise? Compatible with Ernie's steering mod?

I have my front and have been working on a formula for added weight. I will do some axle weighing and post some photos.
Hoping that I will be working on a axle mod today for durfeec, (depends on the mailman) so may still be a day or two away.

They are definitely heavier than stock housings, dunno if heavier than Ernie's. Ernie's are very nice and add a lot of weight, have to let him comment on the other questions.

You know me, I can't leave well enough alone. If my buddies want a change I will try to come up with it.

I didn't weight mine before I started working on it.

It'll be interesting to see how these axles affect torque twist since the ring gear is on the opposite side.

This does make it interesting for those with timed brushed motors or brushless motors with no reversing option in the ESC...

Since both axles are reversed, wont the TT just swap sides? My Ascender 6X6 has an upside down axle housing in it and it has insane torque twist under load.

You'd think it would just swap sides, but there are other dynamics involved that may effect the torque twist. I guess we'll find out.
