| My K10
It's nothing as nice as most of what you guys have but here is my bone stock K10. I've been out on a couple small runs with my little brother who has the same truck and setup. It's really cool what all these things can do out of the box; so it should be way more fun after a few mods and time and funds allow. Hey welcome and congratulations to you and your brother on a pair of new K10s! We all start somewhere and having same (or similar) trucks and driving together playing follow the leader and learning to drive is tons of fun! Stock is pretty capable and very durable, read around here and upgrade a bit as the bug bites you. |

Thanks man. Yeah from what I've been looking at so far I'm looking at sliders, and either beef patties, or new rims, tires and weights on the rims.

Welcome to the boards and congrats on the K10. Good choice for a starter rig. As you stated, they're very capable out of the box. I agree with Chris81 that you should look first for non rotational weight to add. Beef tubes and beef patties would help. I also hear of people putting weight under their batteries in the tray. The easy free mods are to address the shock pistons. The holes are way too small. You can also tuck that front bumper in closer to the body should you so desire. Look forward to seeing how you both upgrade your trucks and make them your own. |

Nice. Your truck looks almost as good as the grounds you get to drive on |

Welcome to the dark side, and great choice for a rig you can upgrade. I know you checked out the Codyboy axles and they are more $$ than beef patties, but rotating weight can be very hard on your drive train parts. But then again I may be just a little bias! Ernie |

Thanks guys, yeah it's the dark side when you get bit by the mod bug. Hey CODYBOY, do you have a website by chance? Today I went down to my family's farm and went on a run with my bro in the back of a lot. Here are a few pics. | Re: My K10 Quote: As for a web site, no. I'm 68 and retired and kind of want to stay that way. So I do all of my work by word of mouth on here. I was afraid if I started a store front I wouldn't have time to play!! My goal was to fill the needs of my ascender friends with the upgrades that big time boys didn't want to do. I guess it is a compliment, but now my designs are copied by some of them. So just the loyal guys on here and the losi section keep me going. Ernie | |

It is a great place to run at. Hey I don't blame you man, no since in making retirement complicated, I'd much rather support a local guy for parts. Thanks for helping out the vaterra world man.

Nice trucks. What kind of rig with the DOT numbers is in the background. I'm a transporter and carry my r/c everywhere with me. I try to do my mandatory 34 hour reset where I can crawl/trail. Be careful though, the modify bug is contagious when it is started. Have fun. Wayne |

My bro and I decided to do some trail work. We found that a backpack blower is your best friend for that. Here are a few pics. Last edited by UnknownCrawler; 03-19-2017 at 11:32 AM. |
