Unhappy Out boarded my rear shocks and now i have issues

I out boarded the rear shocks and now I seem to have a lot less rear articulation. it seems to take a lot more force to get the suspension to compress. I have the Vaterra Aluminum shocks mounted. Overall the shocks seem mushy and less responsive. any thoughts on the cause?
Thanks

Check the top and bottom mounts to make sure you shocks aren't binding.

The shock has more leverage on the axle now so you effectively increased the spring rate for when the axle twists. Spring rate for compressing the axle on both sides equally has not changed but that is a rare occurrence in normal crawling. This is also the reason you are getting less torque twist. The torque twist solution that has the least affect on axle articulation is moving the upper link chassis mounting locations up.

If your shocks seem stiffer when compressing the axle equal on both sides, something else is going on. Check your ring that floats between the two springs. It likes to drag on the threads of the shock body at least on the stock shocks.
