I refuse to add to the population of rc jerps. And I have specific builds in mind for those 2. I mentioned the scout here somewhere. Watch shifting gears with Aaron Kaufman and it will be obvious. The yota I mentioned at sbg and is based on a fictional vehicle inspired by drifting... ;) My reaction when somebody says I should build a jeep... (Not knocking jeeps they just arent my style) Last edited by Shinchu; 07-06-2018 at 09:10 AM. |

Lolol opp ololkkokllo Dude Jato that had me dying!!! My son watches the price is right and I had NO problem hearing Steve Harvey's voice when I saw that hahaha! I'm starting to lean towards a tf2 85 yoter... I know it's not as capable as something on coils/links but I think if I can get anything on 4.19 tires I will be able to conquer WAY more than I can now. Okay and because bragging rights for hangin with linked trucks ;D |

Not this week lol but thanks. There were 2 a couple weeks ago within 2 miles of my house. Its crazy hot right now too. I heard its in alpine, near where Scott Eastwood lives. I saw the smoke when I came out of a store with my wife this morning. All I could say was aww not again... Thanks for asking. ** jeez I just looked it up there are no less than FOUR fires in San Diego County right now. And its only the first week of July... Yikes. Here is the fire map. Keep in mind I live in Southeast el Cajon. http://www.fire.ca.gov/general/firemaps Last edited by Shinchu; 07-06-2018 at 05:43 PM. |

Yeah! speaking of tf2's... ;) Looks like the LWB version will snuggle up under a proline sr5 real nice. But! That's later. Still got a camper special to finish ;) And so far having a blast with the rear leafs on that! |

Ok fellas I had a lapse of patience today. I was going to wait until the bigger 3d printed body was done but I already had this stuff and getting tired of the tiny tires. No pun intended. I did a thing. These. Times 4. Plus these. Times 4. (Thanks Natedog!) Minus these. Times 4. Yucky. Equals... THIS!!! Okay yeah I know the overall size looks too big. But! Look at the sidewall ratio! It's perfect! Who knew 1.55 mud thrashers streeeeeetched over a 1.9 wheel looked so good!?! And... More ground clearance! I can clean up the old 1.55 steelies with dirt grabbers for scale show and shine. Then when the going gets tough, the tough put on the 1.9s! Got dark before I could run it on the backyard "proving grounds" but as soon as I get home tomorrow I will try to get some vid of this new combo in action! **did circles in my garage right after i posted this to check for rubbing. grabs the front fender right behind the bumper real hard on right turns. REALLY need that bigger 3d printed body. still no word from the seller. Last edited by Shinchu; 07-17-2018 at 08:14 AM. |

I really like it. Makes it look more off road. The other tires had a stockish daily driver look. Now it looks like a daily driver that can enjoy the trails on the weekend! Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk |

Talking to the jk3drc guy via Facebook... Hes getting me a quote for standard cab with long bed and shell. GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!!!!! ** so that's going to be a 324mm wheelbase. too big for ascender to stretch that far? WB5 anyone? lol here is the supercab longbed. crazy long wheelbase of 400mm! but yeah he never thought of std cab with long bed so he is figuring that out now. should get an answer back soon when he gets to his office. Its getting printed right now with custom long bed and topper!! And dont worry I'm going to improve some stuff on this. Its missing some detail and could use adjusting here and there but it's a great base! *already working on a deal for a rear bumper and I might hide a battery charge port inside one of the 2 full doors? Gonna scale the scale stuff like I have never scaled before! Last edited by Shinchu; 08-04-2018 at 11:19 AM. |

Oh oh AND THESE! https://www.amazon.com/Team-Associat...r12+associated 1.55 cr12 wheels! Yeah they are plastic and not beadlock but they look GREAT!!! I was curious when they came with the thunder tiger but never got a solid answer on size and now that these have a US distributor and confirmed 1.55? Game on!!! |

Looks are more important to me on this build. Those are the wheels my pops rig had and 1.55 glue on will have to suffice and it's better than 1.9 glue on. Even better is they have aless aggressive offset and with the narrowed CODYBOY axles under that full width 3d printed body, I should be wellllll into class 0 territory. IF I ever do a comp with it. Unlikely but I like the possibility. Last edited by Shinchu; 08-04-2018 at 12:09 PM. |

I'd dull the chrome somehow on those wheels, for realism... but great find!
