Default Forward motor mounting

G'day,

I've seen a couple of build threads where people have mounted the motor/tranny up high and forward.
I've searched but cant find any detailed ways of people doing so.

And also what tranny are people using on the skid, I'm guessing this is to get overdrive to the front axle, like I think ernie said in one of his builds?

I like the idea of it, especially with my cruiser build I wouldn't mind scratch building an interior.

Many thanks if anyone can contribute.

Tom

GCM makes a front MM kit, that's the easiest way unless you fab something yourself. Like snapon boy said check out codyboys thread as well as the thread "my little jimmy", Ben made his own which was super awsome.

Thanks man! My thread is useless now with no pictures because of photobucket. The GCM kit is bolt on but motor sits high for my liking. Guiseppe from Italy has a bolt on kit that sits a bit lower than the GCM kit. You can make your own fairly easily if you have some fabrication skills. No machine work needed. I'd be glad to help with pictures But need to email or text them To ya.
