...and a test fit

Not perfectly to scale, but they will help keep the body tight and protect those rocker panels

appreciate it, thanks. Starting to really enjoy the metal work. Need to come up with some other methods to hold some of the small pieces in place during the soldering process. Any tips would be appreciated, I have melted a few magnets

Looks great, now where’s the Scooby snacks?!?!!?!! The more I look at your tire and wheel combo, the more I like it!
C-clamps and blocks of steel or aluminum for jigs?

no Scooby Snacks! That might explain why the dog hasn’t been around

Good ideas Nate. I need some steel blocks. Should likely make or pick up some cheap metal jigs.

I really like the MTR’s, have been great on this truck. Thanks for the kind words Nate.

Didn't like the proportions on the sliders so I slimmed them down some. Much happier with them now.

Perhaps now a few cross supports and paint

Doh, gotta get some! Just like our cats, love more when the chickens grilling lol.

Thanks, last time I checked they’re pretty inexpensive I’d just buy them.

Good to hear and you’re welcome.

I like the new slider proportions much better. Yes needs some cross braces in there next.

Looks really good. You have an eye for detail. Nice clean braze and nice and tight to the body.

I'm on my 4th bumper on my gen8 6x6. Just can't get the right look.

Thanks mg. Appreciate your saying so. It certainly is rewarding to finally hit the sweet spot on the proportions. Yeah, I need to tackle the bumper challenge. So far I have have kept them very simple to make it easy.

Me too. I prefer simple and slim for performance but sometimes the look you think you are going for takes a few tries

Thanks Durok. I would like to try my hand at a plate bumper yet. For this truck I already have a Scalerfab front bumper on order. Likely will make one for the SWB Bronco Ascender.

These sliders definitely took some reworking along the way.

Here is a really simple rear bumper I made for my sons SCX10ii. He loves it, so I am happy.

I like the green and gold. I had an 83 F-150 that was a forestry truck and it was exactly the same color. Brings me back to the old days. Plus I'm in Wisconsin go Packers

I like the colors too. Definitely looks like a forestry truck. The driver is hunting

On another note. Started making a bumper for the SWB Bronco. Gotta keep the Ascender forum alive somehow...
