Default K10 interior using proline classic interior

I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to fit an interior into the K10 body but I took a chance and ordered the Proline classic interior

I had to do a bunch of trimming to get it into the cab and to clear the battery (using stock mount). I had to push it back as far as possible and to lower the top of the seats so I could push it up as far as possible otherwise the back of the bench seat is above the window and rubs the battery. I cut the top of the bench seat top so that I was able to bend it over essentially making a new top for the bench. I bent it so it was at the same level as the door cards.

I used an extra steering wheel from a Wraith, and some random link from another axial kit for the column.

I used Tamiya gunmetal on the dash and doors, and black on the seats and floor followed by flat clear on the seat (on the top side)

I think the fit is pretty darn good and the sticker set was decent enough they add a good bit of detail.

It came out pretty dark, its a little hard to see the detail when installed but I was just trying to duplicate how the stock dash would be body color.

I still need to come up with something for a column shifter

Great post, thanks Humboldt. I am soon going to be looking for a bench seat interior for my ascender. This helps me out.

Couple of questions:

Was the bench the correct width for the body? Only height an issue

Decal set come with the dash?

Yeah the width is pretty dead on. The tops of the door panels roll over a bit which gives you some leeway on width, but to get it to fit the K10 body I trimmed almost all of the top of the door panels. I did not have to resort to cutting it down the middle and seeming it back together though.

Height was the main issue due to the battery.

The decals do come with the Interior.

Dinky RC makes a bench seat interior made for the K10 too. Just giving options.

Thanks, I just went to the RPP Jamboree and was reminded of this by some other fellow crawlers, I had forgot about that.

It was a lot of fun, it was my first RC event. It was a very casual event, not a hardcore event, I liked that.
I was lucky enough to bring home a new SCX 10.2 kit from the raffle .
I just wish I had got more run time, It was plenty but I always want more.

I couldn't come up with a good spot to post my pictures so I just added them to Natedog's build thread and Codyboys build thread, I should probably start my own build threads at this point.

I'll keep it on my radar for sure. Looks like you guys had a blast! I like that it's not a brand-specific event as far as what rigs you can use.
