| need help or input on choosing some foams
I have the Bronco and will be continuing to use the Vaterra swampers. They are mounted on some Gmade SR02 steelies, my rig weight is sitting currently at 6.8 pounds. Since the Vaterra Swampers are 4.5" the proline foams are too big, the Crawler Innovations 4.5" are my only option. So here is my dilemma... do i go with 4.5" dual or single stage ? I mainly roll in the woods, mostly hills and logs is what i'm hitting occasional rocks. From my understanding the single stage foams are mostly for rocks and the dual stage is better on the trails, woods, logs and climbing hills ? If I'm to go with the dual stage should I go with a soft up front and med in the rear or do I go with the med in the front and the firm in the rear or just rock the same front and rear ? Sitting at almost 7 pounds and I WILL be getting some Codyboy axles soon, what do you all think or recommend ? |

I used the vaterra tsl's with CI lil'novas comp cut inners and soft outers all around with great success. I'd get those. My blazer weighs a little more than yours and it still side hills great with some but not too much tire roll. Definitely be great for a trail truck. Good luck! Ben |

I have CI single stage dueces wild in one set, but prefer Proline single stage foams for TSL XL. https://www.prolineracing.com/rock-crawling-foam |

| Re: need help or input on choosing some foams Forgot to post back, I ended up going with the C.I. Lil Nova 4.5" Mediums front and rear, was going to go with the softs but I could not really feel any difference in the package so I grabbed the mediums since the Bronco has gained some weight. Have not had a chance to get out and try them yet. They definitely make the Vaterra Swampers look and feel better than with the factory foams. I'm off work today and am hoping to get out to a new park today to try them out, albeit its only 40 degrees out. If I can get out I'll give some thoughts on them. |

Yes, all foams break in and get softer with time, firm rear and medium front or medium all around, depedns on terrain, truck weight and your driving style. Yes, memory foams are way past their prime, don't even bother lol. Awesome, get out and crawl, enjoy the fresh cool air and crawling! Looking forward to it. |
