Added a little scale flair. Need to make some more. I think it's time to get that 3d printer

I like this body but the tire rubbing is annoying. I think I'm going to change the body to something more acceptable to 4.75" tires. I trimmed it out a little but I don't want to go to far.

It's tolerable at stock height but I'd like to lower the body a little more. I don't care for the frame sticking out the bottom so far. I guess I could make some boat sides or something?

Looking good, filled in bed top and ammo cans really adds to it too! Some tire rub is kinda normal in 1:1 and my Vaterra Blazer has a little (I"ve lowered that body) and I didn't want to cut out the wheelwells too much (but did a little trimming too.)

Here's Rich's excellent thread on how to lower this body, really looks good with slightly smaller tires/wheels too!
How to lower the body/Cage of your K10 or F100

Durok is running some RC4WD 1.7" Raceline beadlocks w/RC4WD Goodyear MT/R 1.7"x4.19" tires w/stock foams, 18t Robinson Racing pinion (to make up for tire size reduction), looks great imo and my past experience with smaller tires has been very good, side-hilling is better and crawling just requires a little different approach, my Axial Honcho was very capable on small 1.9 tires!

Forgot to say some sliders tucked up in there would help crawling and complete the look and fill in the voids too! I'm not usually a fan of boatsides.

Yah I'm not a fan of boat sides either. Smaller tires is probably the way I will go. Then I can lower the body a little bit.

The tire rubbing I wouldn't mind but it's bad enough to catch the tire and bind it up. So either different body or smaller tires.

I also just ordered an ascender kit. I'm not a blazer fan so I'll probably just sell it and pick up a different body. I want one at 12.3. Thinking either a power wagon or perhaps something else. Not sure exactly yet.

I like your kangaroo killer!

There’s a few old F100’s down under so it’s not an uncommon sight to see them around, many have bullbars too. It’s also not uncommon to hit a roo when out driving! Done it myself many times!

K10 Chevys must be few and far between here, don’t even think I have ever seen one...

How did you make that roo killer? Is it steel or plastic, hard to tell, kinda looks 3D printed?

It's a rear bumper off a short course truck. I heated it up and bent it to shape. I like to use plastic whenever I can as its light and doesn't make it Top heavy.

I think the reason you don't see many Chevy's is they just made joint ventures with other companies like Holden and Vauxhall instead of exporting or making Ford UK and Ford in Australia, etc.

I made this rear bumper in the same fashion. Also my chassis on the front of my Aschammer. Just don't over heat it or it gets brittle.

Did some more painting and put on a temporary bumper so I can hit the rocks this afternoon or tomorrow. Went and checked out my spot a long the flowage and due to being on the north shore the snow is all gone. Should be a fun time.

Hit the rocks today. Was only like 35 but tolerable. Was a good time. Got some exercise and fun with the family. Trucks look used now. Knocked off one of my ammunition crates off the back of the f100 but other than that nothing broke.

Now that my fingers are shot from peeling rubber and putting together the beadlocks and a grill I just bought..... Lol I really hate degluing tires. Looks pretty good though.

Just took it out on my rock pile in the back yard and had to wash it off. She was a little muddy. Forgot the phone in the house so I didn't get any pictures outside.

As I sit here staring at this thing I wish the body that they used on the on road rig had a longer wheelbase. It would look bad ass!

I would combine the body and cage and would rock I think. But it's a little shorter than I would like.

Ordered more parts! Shocks, a different body, light kits, and a couple other things. Going to also get some codyboy axles soon with the SSD knuckles. Think I'm going to pick up some SSD diff covers also because I painted the stock ones orange and the colors I picked out are candy apple red and silver. I had to change it to something different. Even though I like how it looks I need to make it my own.
