I'm not afraid to drive it. I built it for a reason. I am making a 12" wb rig right now but it's going to have trx4 axles under it. These things have so much torque twist a smaller tire more scale rig is more fitting. And is semi realistic from crawling video's I've seen on real rigs.

Hyrax mounted. They are neat looking tires. Kinda like siped swampers.

So I'm thinking of stealing the shocks off this. I think it should work nice.

I lucked out and found a 5/32 socket in my drawer, works perfect on scale lugs! Good thing, too. If i didnt check before leaving today, i would have lost at least 3 wheel nuts off my cross rc wheels at the local crawl spot. Yay for tools!

I am using a 2mm which is about half the size of yours or I would have used a socket. It works as good as a socket to be honest except it started to where after I was done. Not quite hard enough metal.

Really like the full bed Ford body on your Ascender. Think it looks really bad ass.

Mail man just dropped off my gift. I didn't get Codyboy axles as I didn't get a hold of him and didn't realize his situation so I feel kinda guilty buying a different brand but it is what it is. Sorry Ernie!

Got a few parts on. SSD scale hubs are cheap. They look nice but as soon as you get the thing half tight the thing falls apart. I might fill it up with jb weld to get them to stay together.

I had a heck of a time taking the hexes off. There was so much loctite on them one of the set screw pins snapped when I was trying to get it loose. It snapped and let go so I thought it came loose but I had to drive the pin out. Luckily I had a couple laying around so I could get it back together after getting the SSD weights on. On the other side it wouldn't budge at all. I used some heat and got it to come out. The hexes were also glued on. I think the assembly department needs to back off the loctite. I don't think I have ever had such a hard time getting an Axle apart! Oh well I got it apart and back together. It now should be ready for the snow to melt! I'm getting bored of playing in the basement.

Next up is the inner fenders and some more scale items. Also I might change the bed aluminum to diamond plate.

Yeah, a source link would be cool - I have another honcho/flatbed type of rig in mind - that diamond plate would be perfect.
Is that the RC4WD stuff?

I got it from Amain hobbies. They have a couple different brand and this is the cheapest I found. https://www.amainhobbies.com/hot-rac...08dp%2fp508751
