Went for a walk in the woods with my puppy and took the truck. Made a little fire wood and hauled it home.

Put some scale accessories on. Need to age some of it a little but it's started.

Incredible! Looks right at home in the cold wilderness!
How is the 35t? Better?
Looks like this one is just about done... Hint hint ;)

I was thinking about doing tail lights and calling it done but then I was playing in the snow and I was like a rusty snow plow would look right at home on there for winter playing.

Worked on the interior for the 68. I ran into an issue with the battery hitting the interior when the suspension is only about 1/2 compressed. Back to the drawing board.

I got it to work. Now I just need to print a driver and repaint the seats. The red clashes a little bit with the orange?

Just noticed I missed one of you questions. The 35t is perfect. It could be a touch faster but I think it will be just fine. Really impressed with how good it does in the snow. There are of course a couple spots that I cannot do like my 4 link 4.75" tired rigs but its great fun.

Interior looks great, hmmm maybe dark brown seats with tan outer 'vinyl' panels, light coat of tan paint inside cab for door panels or?

Tiny tired flat bed is awesome looking and as you said, fun but can't crawl as much as the big tire truck.

Just dont forget to hit the high spots with a lighter version of your interior colors with dry brushing for that worn in look.

And you already know how I feel about less capable rigs.
In my book less capable = more fun!

It's kinda like in drifting. Hear me out...
Old 86 corollas are at a power disadvantage. Couple that with a twitchy short wheelbase and they are a handful.
But somebody that masters an ae86 corolla can get behind the wheel of just about anything else and it's way easier.
Or if you are a Dragon ball Z fan, its like Picollo and his shoulder weights ;)

Ferd interior looking good! You scratch build that dash or print it?

The dash is lexan. It's a modified 74 bronco dash.

I get what you are saying. I used to motocross back in the day. I always ran out dated bikes with half bald tires. I have a box of plaques and trophies for 2nd place. My bike broke down one day and I barrowed my buddies brand new Suzuki. It was my first and only first place. It gives you the sensation that it's so easy when you get a more capable machine. I broke my back 3 weeks later. No more racing.

I think the reason it's so much fun is if you make it, it's more rewarding due to the challenge. Plus the realism is kinda cool too.

Next build under way. I'm still undecided on the body but after finding this I think it's the winner. It says 245mm wb but it's a little narrow so if I scale it up 20% it will be 11.5 WB and 9.06 wide. Perfect! I also found another version of the F-150. Extended cab and regular. Short box and long. I already have lots of Ford's and looking at it it looks a little off which is why I was thinking about doing the scout. But I also found a power wagon that I just might have to make. I know I have a hard time making up decisions.

I really like the Scout, I'm looking forward to the release of the Redcat Scout body in clear, the flares on the RTR are all wrong, I think they did a great job on the body except for that.

Roughly how long does it take to print one of those bodies? My inclination is to say print them all and then decide which is next, but that is, of course, easy for me to say when it’s on your time and dime.

It takes a few days to print one. I think I will build them all eventually. I just need to pick the next. But I am now starting to print the scout body. I might eventually build a race car to pull behind it.

Printer runs non-stop for 3 days? Mgputer incubates a Scout. Seriously , who doesn’t want an RC Lab?

It runs pretty much for 3 days. I have to swap parts I'm printing as I have a 260x260x360 table so I have to print it out a piece at a time. Here's the front clip printing right now. It's been printing on this for 14hrs and it has about 2 hours to go. It looks like it has a Hood but it's support for the fire Wall. Also sometimes the print doesn't work and you have to start over again.

Very cool. Is there significant off-gassing or need for venting?

No PLA is typically made from sugar cane so it smells kinda like maple syrup. They also make it out of corn too and it is about the same.

I'm working on getting it configured to run nylon And abs. Abs stinks and you may want to vent that but most people don't. Nylon isn't bad.

All three of those are beautiful, I do love old Power Wagons though. I’d run a hood with fan and outside duct, bad to breathe especially abs and nylon. I’ve read that it’s helpful to enclose the print area to increase strength, shape and print quality in general, do you do that?

It's not required for PLA. I'm going to be setting up the enclosure to print abs and nylon soon.
