[QUOTE=CODYBOY;5843205]Thanks Ryan, yea I didn't want to bring it home until I had a good home for it.

Thank you young man!

Thanks Todd, I guess since I've been doing it for a while (30 some years) that I should have learned a few tricks! I think sometimes we take for granite the skills, tools and knowledge we have. One of the reasons I try to pass as much of it forward as I can.
So happy your getting better!!!

Hey M1itch, you need to charge some batteries and get back on the rocks!!
Thanks for checking us out once in a while.

Very well said, thanks for the insight.

They were good back in the Clyde Drexler days!

Thanks for the input, my main goal for this build was to see if I could make the three link work in ridding some of the TT. It may get better as I progress. Working on some idea with another vender on here, we will see if can make some cool part available to some of you guys!

Ernie

Bumper update,

Rear,

Drill 1/4" holes in the bumper tube an soldered some 1/4" SS thin wall tubing in the holes. Flattened the 1/4" for mounting holes, pretty easy mounts. Used this for bumpers all the time.

Finished the front bumper with a stinger and turnbuckle mounts.

And a pic of a new addition to the stable!

Thanks for looking guys, hope I can inspire some of you. It isn't rocket science and all you need to do is step out of your comfort zone just a little.

Any questions, just ask!

Ernie
I have learned alot for rcc and loads from codyboy along the years. He has made me some awesome stuff too. I love the stickers also.

Just looking for a for some input, and thought I would start here.
October will be here before we know it and Marcia and I are starting to plan a route for this years cross country trip. Would you guys be up to another travel journal kind of like we did last time? If I could talk Browneye into doing it, should I have some Ascender Assemble tee shirts printed to bring along they would be at cost only. I already have some of you on the map but still planning stops. We will start the trip leaving from California, head toward Utah, Wyoming, toward Minnesota, Wisconsin, into Canada, toward New Hampshire, Maine and down toward Pennsylvania, toward Maryland, the Carolina's, Florida, Georgia, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Whew, That is tentative plan, I'm sure with many changes.

Absolutely! We had our big cross-country crawl/trail/sight-see trip last year and have to stay home this year so we need vicarious adventure.

Since you're kind of heading in that general direction, if you haven't been to Badlands Nat'l Park in SD it was the best place we went. Absolutely beautiful country, awesome crawling and not crowded like Utah's big parks. We were literally the only people in the park crawling with lights and a full moon at 2 am.

So-so video but topical...

I was going to ask if you saw your dot? Hope we can make it happen. red dots are friends, and blue are points of interest.

Give me a heads up. The fridge will be full of great food & the house is always full of good vibes. By then the backyard course should be pretty interesting

You guys will be about half way through our trip, and if you follow our travel log you'll know where we are all the time.

I'd be interested in participating. Jr and I will be glad to show you our favorite spots. If things work out right I might make a Dutch over cobbler. I'm better at making them than rc parts.

My mouth still waters from the pics you sent of it a couple years ago. And would be fun to crawl with you and your son.

When you get into Wisconsin we should try to get as many of us together as possible and go to a nice crawl spot. Gillet is only about hour and a half from me. Dells of the Eau Claire is always fun.

That would be fun, when time comes to post more of a agenda we can try and schedule something. I can't guarantee that it would be on a week end, and Zippi1 has a little issue try to get around in rocks. I won't call it a handicap, because Todd is a amazing guy!

Ernie,

Don't know what your tentative schedule for the trip is but if you happen to be in NC on October 20-21, the GCM Adventure Series US event will be going on. It is a great event with a lot of really talented builders so you would fit right in. Also gives you an opportunity to explore Uwharrie National Forest or the NC Zoo.

That might be a little early for us, We are going to come in from the north and plan on spending a little time visiting relatives in New Hampshire and PA. Right now we plan on checking out the Carolinas and I have my eye on the Raeighish area. Would like to meet you if it works out!
