Well, the Brotherhood of Steel Power Wagon is now up-armored and ready to deliver supplies to the various outposts of the wasteland.

Just found this...like it. I think I saw it at PLBTF.

I'm using a similar theme for a Nukizer715. Where might I find a mask or something for the white star on the doors? That one is perfect.

Hey sorry for the late response, I've been out of the country on business. So my wife Google's those stars for me, she looked up something like US Army Star and found one that had the worn look. Once she found it she used a cricut machine to cut them out of vinyl, and I stuck them on.

Not much done lately, Uncle Sam has kept me busy.

Added some new lights, 3D printed a trailer and accessories, took it to PLBTF19 where it won 2nd place in the military division.

That's lately.

And a LOT of fun was had by all.
Congrats!!

BTW, my last rig got krylon fusion on the outside and it works really well. Thanks for proving that method out. Pics here: 66 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - TRX4

Sad day at Corona Del Mar a few weekends ago! Busted an end link coming off an obstacle. But I. The bright side I got to pull the spare out and do some crawling. The Twin Hammer never ceases to amaze, and kept up with the comp crawlers even with the newly opened front diff.

What are the best replacement end links for these trucks?

That's a surprise! I have never broken a stock rod end on either my Ascenders. My K10 took a 60 foot tumble down a slope bouncing off trees and rocks. Cracked body shell, but it was already like that. Mechanically, a rear axle driveshaft bent between hex and bearing. Still drove ok. Don't know of any upgrades, I have quite a few spare stock rod ends anyway.

I ride the ascender pretty hard, and the rocks out in socal are pretty jagged. I'm wearing through the front differential as well, the front guard is about gone.

On a side note, if anyone is looking for really good tires for cheap the Duratrax deepwoods really impressed me at Corona Del Mar.

I've had good luck with the stock rod ends too, SSD's rod ends have also held up well on other rigs.

Wow, nice job on the rod end, they usually take a lot of abuse! I carry a couple spares in my pack but have not needed one yet, nice you had your Twin Hammers as backup. New front axle time, SSD diff covers are the best, mine have plenty of wear, but they are still nice and thick. They have nicely rounded edges and the bottom half is thick to take the wear and abuse! Got any more body off pics of your truck?
