Cool!

Meredith is only an hour or so north of me, and if it is the fall, my wife will be bugging me to go on a fall foliage run anyway.

Can't wait to ride along with you guys on your trip! Hopefully your travel map brings you to sunny Florida for a run on the AnimalHippie back yard course & some tasty food from the wife

Can't wait to see what comes of this rig now that Andrew has it!

Did Andrew get a package this week? I ordered it the same time I ordered the radio, and it has been on back order all this time.

Thank you I will keep my eyes peeled and maybe ask the people at my old place. And I will keep it a surprise for Andrew. Thank you!

You know, I forgot all about that. When it came, I told Marcia to "send this to Chris" and didn't think anymore of it, darn!! Sorry. It is a small box about the size you would send a motor in.

Thanks again Ernie. I will see if the people at my old place have it.

Got some vid of both ascender out on the backyard rock pile yesterday.
https://youtu.be/Ge7RR_ryzu4

I think I need to make it less of a pile and more of a long rugged path. Right now it's too challenging even for 1.9 tires.
Truck is doing great though! Left rear shock is bleeding a little so I need to check that. If it needs new seals these are just ascender kit shocks right Ernie?

Yeah, you'd better spread it out a good bit for yours...

After market Ascender alum, but same as the plastic kit shock. I did the Traxxas o-ring mod.

Got the mini care package!
USPS actually did the right thing and forwarded to my new address. Nice!
The original rx is doing fine, so this will probably end up on his drift car. Thanks for the spare!

I had ordered it the same time as the radio and they were so hard to find in stock that it took this long to get it! It will be perfect for Andrews drift car! Tell your father inlaw high for us.

Some time when you think about it could you PM me your new address?

Marcia and Ernie

An rc part on backorder??? Never... Lol
Thank you young man. PM sent ;)

Oh quick question: do you know what weight shock oil is in the rear? I have losi 15, 25, and 45. I can just refill both rears with the closest. Thanks!

Probably 25 in the rear and 22.5 or 20 in the front. (associated)

That's great! How old is your boy? Looks like he does a great job with throttle control. I have been slowly getting my 10yo to realize that more isn't always better. Great video!

he turns 10 in august (and he wants an rc4wd blazer body converted to cab/truggy for his b-day! I'm gonna love that project!) and yes its been a challenge but i heard something brilliant from one of medic's RC Sparks videos... "As slow as possible, but as fast as necessary." and every time i see him hammering the throttle, i remind him of that. its becoming less and less frequent now and he is really enjoying the scale aspect, watching the suspension cycle, letting the tires "bite"... he has really come far in the last year from the barrage to this ascender. kid's got some skills! he has showed zero signs of losing interest, and we both love the fact its something we connect with and have a great bonding experience even on short 5 minute crawls in the backyard.

Ernie, THANK YOU for adding to this awesome experience. we are both proudly sporting CODYBOY decals on our rigs and we both appreciate what you have done every time we fire up these incredibly capable rigs.
