|  IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! My First Crawler.
Here she is, my first ever crawler. She is beautiful. Not sure where to go from here ecept out the back door to drive the wheels off her.   Any suggestion guys and gals would be welcome. |

Best thing you can do is charge batteries and got out trailing with backpack of tools, spares and water, enjoy! Don't mod anything until you drive it, then come back here with a couple trail pictures, read the stickies and some threads to see what you want to do next. Quote:

OHHHHH BOY!!!! we havent had a new owner in here for a while... And I forgot how exciting it is for me to see somebody get an ascender!!! Veterans know what im gonna say... Its coming just wait... But yes Gunny welcome!!! And what Natedog said is 110% accurate and you had the right gut feeling... Go drive the wheels off her and then see what if anything needs done. Read the stickies here and try out some adjustments. The people here in the ascender section are nothing short of INCREDIBLE. I have been here almost 2 years I think, and we have literally given shirts off our backs. No, REALLY! which reminds me, since you are in apple valley... Hope to see you at Proline by the fire! Its an annual event right down the road from you at horsemans park. Watch the events section around March/April. Well if you have any questions friend, we are here. Did you make it over the entire wood pile mountain? The Apple Valley looks like the planet Luke Skywalker came from. How far did that wood pile travel to reach you? |

Congrats! The Ascender is still one of my all-time favorite trucks. As others have said, welcome to this very fun and addicting hobby! BTW - it's not weird to just stare at your crawlers and admire the looks. We all do that!  |

Those tires are great tires especially if you cut them a bit. I just cut my set and I am very pleased with the performance. If you want to see pics of what I did you can find them on the last two pages of my build thread in the Trx-4 section.
