Ascender worth? What is a factory ascender chassis ready to roll worth? Has a blazer body with it that is cut up. Just needs a battery charger other than that it's all there Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |
Re: Ascender worth? Is it in new condition? Here's a similar setup: 1/10 1986 Chevrolet K-5 Blazer Ascender 4WD Brushed Slider (From an RTR) - "Floor Model" |

Re: Ascender worth? There is an ebay seller with chassis kits, all the parts to build, less wheels body and electrics - $200. IMO they should be less than new if they are used. I mean, really, they're not new anymore, why should they be worth more than a new one? But a lot of guys think whatever parts they put on it are worth something - I don't think they are, but evidently some do. I guess it depends on what those parts, what they cost new, and whether you really want them or not. Perhaps fifty-cents on the dollar is appropriated, but some seem to be insulted if you're not willing to reimburse them for all their doodads. A new RTR is about $280 (suburban) or $330 for a K10. Or the bind and drive Ford F100 at the same price as the 'burb. The latter has the all metal links and better tires, but most don't use plastic/glued stock wheels and tires anyway. Some prefer the new cross/fixed battery tray in the 'burb. Personally I would opt for the K10 or F100. So after all that explanation I would offer a couple of hundred for a used rig if it was in good shape. Or get the kit and build it the way I want. My two cents. ;-) |
Re: Ascender worth? Personally, when selling used items worth under $1,000 new, I typically price them at 30-50% of their new value. If I ask for more than that, it often takes a really long time to find a buyer IME. |
