NO PROBLEM guys, as most of you already know, I do this as a hobby that pays a little, so the whole idea of doing them is to come up with something that is not available to us ascender guys, Right.
I asked for input and you guys did a great job giving it. Sooooooooooooooo, here is photos of the same concept with ascender pumpkin. Dealing with the brass color would be easy to take care of, you guys have already come up with a few!

I oxidized this one.

Ascender pumpkin with a wraith setup.

Same idea with SSD chub and knuckles.

I can make them to fit stock ascender C-hubs and knuckles. We can do them in most any width, (within reason). Myself, I'm building a set for me using Anthony's design. I think I'll do a ascender pumpkin front, and have someone test it for me. And I have a good person in mind.

Very nice Ernie. The concept of more ground clearance made sense to me and understood once explained. But I think the scale center section with offset will be much more appealing to guys who are running these trucks. I personally have found that using the ascender front axle shafts is just fine for me. The extra work for the extreme turning angle just isn’t worth the trouble, FOR ME. So you may be able to offer that option for people that’ll be less work for you too. Keep up the great work and ideas.

Thanks for the input and info guys! I was hoping for a little more interest in this change, but I guess I do it for fun anyway.
Just to show you where I am with this upgrade.
I have everything put together and it spins free, so I must have done something right.

A weight. Thanks for looking!
Ernie

It does, doesn't it. 7.5 from outside of hex to outside of hex.

indeed this WOULD be the killer setup!
solid plan... maybe i should wait? (about to pull the trigger on the SSD kit)
*have they said how much the VFD will cost by itself?

**Ernie you say 7.5"? whats the stock one (i forget at the moment). i need to measure the ones you did for my 79 ford, because those snuggle under the 3D printed body PERFECTLY. amazing how that worked out.

that's awesome brother. what a great hubby!
my wife tried the barrage once for a few minutes. "eh, its okay." she'd rather drink wine and watch me drive lol

i have the SSD rig in my cart at RPP... trying REALLY HARD not to yank that trigger too early... remembering my dad's words... "B.R.A.S.S."

This looks great! Like many I have plans of possibly using this with the vfd. Any idea if I'd be able to use an SSD pumpkin and scx10ii knuckles and c hubs? Thanks.

If I remember right I narrowed it 3mm on each side? But we can do them any width.

It probably would be possible, it would be the same theory as I'm using with the ascender axle. But I would need to invest in parts to R&D.
