Help im over heating

I'm new to this my motor is overheating very quickly almost too hot to touch and reverse is jumpy

What is your spur tooth count and pinion gear tooth count? Also what esc and motor? And is the gear mesh to tight where you can't fit a small strip on paper through it? Also what kinds of battery you running?

These will help to know to help figure things out.

yeah is this a box stock new truck or used...? need some details to help, but we are more than willing!
