|  HW1080 in Ascender
So I just bought a used ascender blazer off my buddy. It’s bone stock and has maybe 2 hours run time on it. The 2s battery he gave me with it is shot. Puffed really bad and I don’t have the charger adapter for the EC3 plug. Rather than buy another one, I opted to replace the esc with a HW1080 and run the 2200 3s packs that I run in my wraith. Any issues in doing this? Assuming the stock 35T motor will be fine until I swap in a titan 21T, no?

I'm running a 1080 on 3S packs in mine. It's a great setup.

Same. Been running my 79 ford ascender with a hw1080 and tamiya 27t brushed and 2200 mah 3S with zero issues for over a year now. Great setup!

I have three Ascenders, all with the HW1080 ESC's and they all run 3s... Great setup....

I run a 35T with the WP1080, 3S, stock gearing, and it has great control. Really like that setup.

Might want to order a few of the WP1080's since a lot of the stuff from China is going to stop coming in with the coronavirus over there.
