| Anyone got the tires off the rims successfully?
Did the baking method twice but was unsuccessful. Hesitant to try boiling them and I don’t want to do the acetone in case it’ll destroy the rims. The glue on there is very stubborn. Just wondering if anyone was able to get the tires off the rims successfully, and what method did u use. |

Nope I had no luck but I had already ordered my wife some bead locks and Deepwoods so I thought it was worth trying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I was able to get them off by baking them. I still had to pry a little while they were got to break the glue. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk |

X2, baked mine off, do one side flip em and do the other. Peel off any leftover CA from tires so while still hot, works great! |

I used a heat shrink gun and gloves but the beads were distorted and brittle from the glue. I ended up using 2.2 wheels and fixed the seating issue. I now buy the canyon stock tires without wheels.

Xacto. Peel it back and carefully score it. Carefully work around the edge of the wheel and repeat. Be gentle. I did this on four traxxas bronco RTR wheels to get those huge canyons off so I could try the 1.9 wheels on my 79 ascender. Too big but it was good practice. Ended up using cr12 1.55 wheels instead. Yeah just use an xacto and 2 hours of patience. I still have the trail canyons and 1.9 bronco wheels just chillin lol |
