True 1/10 scale?

So my coworker has a trx 4 bronco. I was truly surprised as to how much bigger the actual body was compared to my suburban. Side by side its much smaller than the trx4. So I guess my question is if the ascender is a true 1/10 scale truck?

I wouldnt get too wrapped up in whats correct, just know sizes for whats called 1/10 scale are all over the place. If you want to check though find some measurements to compare and divide (the 1:1 numbers) by 10.

Sometime RCs also class themselves as 1/8 scale simply because they use 1/8 scale sized components (not the body).

I'm beginning to see that now. I thought some of the drag bodies were just large but compared to my dr10 and the trx4 is just smaller. Really its not a big deal but we were both kinda surprised looking at them next to each other

You also have one of the most disproportionate bodies out there. They took a chassis that started out with a blazer body, then made a suburban body to fit that same wheelbase. A suburban has two more doors well, the 73-91 suburban a do, the 72 style like yours should only be a three door but I digress. and about a foot longer rear section than the blazer does so that’s why your body is so much smaller. The Vaterra blazer body actually works out to about 1:8.5 scale.
