Treal Vaterra Ascender Steel OD Gears Overdrive Gears 14/23T

Just found these, have not tried them and don't know if they are good, but I've read good about their aluminum parts, they also have brass chubs, knuckle weights and diff covers for the Ascender.

Treal has a really good reputation in the Redcat Gen8 community and always come highly recommended.

Just installed them in my WB2 Ascender last week Nate. I just recently found out about them as well. The quality seems good. They spin smoothly and did not require any shimming.

Hey Smog, is this a one piece locker or is the gear screwed and/or keyed on? It's great to see parts for the Ascender being made!

It’s a one piece locker. Agreed, it is great that a few company’s have continued to produce parts.

Yes, I've read they make quality parts but have not tried them.

Very nice and yes agreed it's great that some companies are still making parts for the Ascender!

I installed them in both of mine, got them on Amazon, spin nice and no binding or gritty feeling. I'm impressed.

Any Long term updates on these gears? I'd like to try some overdrive in the old ascender, but am kinda skeptical if chinese bevel gears.

Well, to be honest I haven’t tested it a whole lot so I could not comment on their long-term durability. After install I took the rig out for a couple of runs but she’s sat on a shelf since. I just rarely run my Ascenders anymore.

I have driven my ascender about 4-5 times for an hour maybe each time i have gone out, i usually drive my rigs hard, so far the od gears have held well to my driving...i also have a 2 speed on mine and i like to floor it on 3s
