Default Xtra speed body

So I just bought an hardbody jeep from xtra speed. I believe it's for an scx10 but I'm sure with a bit of cutting it can fit on an ascender. Has anyone put a hardbody on a vaterra?

I'm sure quite a few have, a quick browse through this section would likely answer your question.

I had a Tamiya F350 body on mine for a while and now I'm working on a 3D printed Nissan D21 body to go on top. It's gonna be heavy!! It's at least a year in the making.

Sweet! I bet it looks killer with the 350 body! From what I've read it's definitely gonna be top heavy. I got some brass down low although I've heard ascenders perform better lighter

I havnt spent much time with my Ascender as I prefer my HiLift. The hilift is a tank so the weight of the hardbody does nothing.

With a light chassis, especially if you lift it a bunch, a hard body will help it be top heavy. Keep the body, as all the weight, low. My 10lb HiLift will side hill better than my buddies stock SCX10.2 because of how the weight is set up.

The little I ran the ascender I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to get it going again with an even heavier body!
