that arm seems to be stuck, or it doesn't move when i click the shift up/down button on the remote. so it's stuck in high gear i think that shift servo seems dead, so i'll check the other threads to purchase an upgrade yes, i know, welcome to RC cars lol Last edited by SubyJeff; 02-16-2013 at 09:04 PM.

The stock steering servo has been working great as the shifting servo for several hours of run time so far. Last edited by badger; 02-16-2013 at 09:50 PM.

Your setup looks like it should be nice. I'm curious to hear how your nitro throttle linkage with dual springs works. I'm running the stock 28t pinion.

What are the dimensions between the rear shock towers? I'm trying to figure out if I could mod a Twin Hammers to fit my 5000mah hardcase Lipos. I only have 5000mah hardcase batteries and wouldn't necessarily like to buy more just for this truck. |

Any tips on fitting a 1/10 scale servo where the shifting servo is? Horizon is sending me a replacement for my fried OE shifting servo but I wanted to move the OE steering servo over to shifting duties. Related question- Does the Hitec mg225 directly replace the OE shifting servo? What about the steering linkage/horn? Thanks for all the pics and videos , badger! Are you run a RS or an RS Pro. Curious on the temp. Was thinking of running a Pro4 3300kv and a RX8 in mine. But don't know if it would be much faster then yours. After watching the video. The ROC 412 3100kv looks pretty fast as it is. Also are you running the esc in dual-mode or sensored only.

The RX8 is a big ESC and the Pro4 is absolute overkill. RS Pro and ROC 412 should be a great combo.

Do you think that running the heavy diff grease for the most part will be ok, really not wanting to lock in diif but at the same time I need to be able to climb. Thx for all the time and info you have shared with all of us...Doc

I don't have a Hitec 225mg servo so I don't know if it is a direct replacement for the EO shifting servo. Maybe someone else can chime in. Thanks. Quote:

Depends on how heavy the diff grease is. I would want it at least as heavy as the Kyosho 500K diff oil for me to be happy with it. The good thing is that the front diff is extremely easy to get to so you can try out different greases/oils until your happy with the performance.
