I think, that you can customize in two directions....you want a basher with light crawler capability....go with heavy oil in front diff, more crawler than basher, lock the front diff and try to add some weight in the front......It s just my 2cents because I havent it yet....soon but not yet and it will be more crawler so front diff locked, maybe rear swaybar, BRXL, new servos, 3 cells and for motor don t know yet maybe anHH 27 turns....

Instead on bl what about adding in a hand wound brushed motor which more power and better efficiency ect? I am a noob to crawlers so forgive me if I sound like a dumbass I am however familiar with electronics on planes and Helis though |

Is this truck better than the wraith? I have not been that impressed with mine, bent A rear axle after landing wrong off a tiny jump and the transmission has developed a hell of a clicking noise all after only maybe 40 minutes running and it's very unstable at high speed and doesn't crawl very well at all, I know adding some heavier diff oil would help I'm just talking out of the box here. Is the wraith bigger than this? Surely they must be a better truck than this or they wouldnt have been so popular? Not meaning to bag the heck out of this truck there was just alot of hype about it and so far it has not really impressed me that much. Cool looking truck and jumps quite well but that's about it. Some 2.2s and a brushless setup that's on it's way will hopefully change my thinking. Gonna head more of a badger direction with this truck as I have other crawler specific vehicles, what are people using to stiffen up the rear end without raising it and further messing up the cog? Is some 40wt oil gonna be enough or are springs gonna be needed to? What springs fit?

lol I'm about to pull the trigger on a rtr rubicon with a good deal but it doesn't have a lipo. Might be a mute point, what what kind of RTR doesn't have a lipo? seems dumb |

I wouldn't say this is better OR worse than a Wraith. They're just two different trucks. For dedicated crawling I think the Wraith is a better choice. But for an all purpose rig, crawling & some speed, the TH is hard to beat.

I bought mine the day it came out and have had some time with it it really needs 2.2 on it the ground clearance is low in the woods the long belly pan gets hung up easy on stuff im now running 55 turn motor and the 28 tooth on it I like it so much more for my style

okay so I came to my senses and realized the Vaterra RTR is a damn good deal. Already considering tire upgrades. Can anyone recommend a good, decent priced bead lock from rc4wd? I've already been eying up the Interco Irok and boggers. |

You can use the stock tires in any aftermarket beadlocks if you trim the tires bead a little to make them fit. I'm not going to suggest any RC4WD beadlocks either because I think aluminum beadlocks are going to be to heavy (to much rotating mass which may cause things to break in a crash) if you plan on keeping it a fast rig. | |

Badger Thanks a lot for your imput. Personally I want more of the crawling aspect than racer, so, I guess if I wanted to do some slow ass crawling i could have a spare set of rims and tires. I'll have to look back through this thread so posts about light non alum beadlocks. thanks Dude Quote:

Sounds good Does this truck have as much clearance as the Rubicon or less? |
