I personally haven't because I only have two Turnigy packs and don't run them very often. I have heard of three first hand experiences with them and that is enough for me not to purchase them and use them in RC's I really like or have a lot of money into.

I personally don't care one way or the other if guys buy them or not and whether or not someone has had no issues with them. I'm just giving my opinion on the brand, that is all.

Now I'm scared to buy one with all the upgrades people are talking about, I just want something that's fun and easy right out of the box.

Only thing we'll need out of the box RTR is more lipos

i think some people have said they are "the greatest RTR crawler out there" but some people are not just satisfied with "stock" so they up grade. One thing i think i would defiantly upgrade first would be the motor to a hand wound something, but again thats just me everyone is different.

This is an awesome rig right out of the box and unless if your an experienced RC'er/crawler then I would just stick with 2s lipo's and get a few shorty packs to get you plenty of run time.

I'm gonna have to agree with that. I cannot believe how durable this rig is and how good it does over the roughest terrains. I will go into a lot more detail in my final review post.

quick question Badger how long is the rear "live" axle, do you think we could do an axle swap for a scx10 axle?
Thanks

Sorry that's what I meant.... Kinda hard to pull the esc, RX, and motor while the lipo is flaming away.

and why do you think that? There are way more hop ups and parts are more around so you can get them cheaper.

Have not checked into it yet but gear ratio, the width seems wider, that could be decieving though. It works so well with what is already in it you dont need any and you would be giving up ground clearance

After getting my hands on one I think it will run hand in hand with the Axial axles.
Axial SCX rear housing- 7" 8.5"@axle shaft ends Pumkin- 1.7" with angles
Vaterra rear housing- 7.5" 9"@axle shaft ends Pumpkn- 1.45" smooth

I agree with halfcab, not worth it at all.

1. The stock twin hammers rear axle has a much smaller pumpkin then the ax10 axle
2. The ax10 axle housing is not as strong as the stock twin hammers housing near the wheels because the twin hammers axle tubes are a one piece design. The axle housing uses lockouts in the rear and where the lockouts mount to the axle housing is a know weak point that hasn't been addressed since the release of the axles.
3. We have beat the crap out of my twin hammers for over 3 hours with no issues at all with the rear axle.

I have one of these on order but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how it would go with a goat ballistic brushless system in it? It's an 18.5t motor and 3s sensored esc. Would this be a good option for one of this? Reason I ask is cos I have the motor and esc already and would be a bonus if it will go well in this!

I think that brushless system would be fine in the Twin Hammers, just don't go anywhere around water. Don't even sneeze on the Novak system, they don't like moisture at all.

I've had 1 mechanical failure so far. The axle pin spun in the plastic hex , probably from the over abundance of power the Tekin ROC 412 has.

Would it be slower or faster than the standard setup on 3s lipo I'm afraid I don't really understand how turns work.
