i'm doing some mathsss here. will the TWH's tires stick out ~ 0.85" on each side of the MTT body? (21mm?) could you take a pic maybe with the MTT body set on it, but from the front?

I've got it all pulled apart right now. I'll try and get it back together enough tomorrow for a pic and measurement.

hey no worries, i'll just set 2 tires 0.85" outside of the wheel wells on a honcho body. should give me a fairly good idea of how it would look

All right, here are some shots of the Mini Trophy body on the Twin Hammers for those of you who have asked for them. My TH currently has the MT trailing arms on it. The body is just resting on the stock TH cage and wheels. The outer edge of the wheels measures 5/8 to the edge of the fenders on the front and rear.

Sorry everything's so messy but I'm in the middle of making stuff happen!

Thanks

That does look great.

I just think mounting might be a problem.

Thanks. It's the thing that's going to force me to buy another one! This one's getting the bug style body.

I currently see two options on mounting. Extend the stock cage up about 1/2" or go the non scale route and bolt some body mount posts to the cage and call it a day.

Got the rear shocks mounted this morning. I'm ok with how the new upper mount turned out but it's not perfect. I'll probably redo it at some point as the shocks aren't perfectly parallel but it'll work for now. I wish someone made a scale bypass shock!

Well, here's where I ended up this weekend. Got the roof on and the front clip sorted out. I ended up dropping the body down and pulling it back slightly for a better fit. I've still got a bit more work to do on the body but I'm going to hold off on that until I get the light bar and front bumper/skid sorted.

You may also notice that I've switched the scale Kings out for Gmades. As noted by northernbill, the Kings are pretty soft for this application. If you're just gonna crawl, you'll be fine but for any high speed stuff they are too soft. I really wish they were tunable. I'm going to play around with them to see if I can get them to work better cause they sure look the part!

I'm also in the process of making a new set of trailing arms. The MT's work great but they are just a little too long for this rig. For the one I build with the MT body, they'll work great. The new ones will be the same length as the stock TH's but be able to accept two shocks.

That is all.

Waaaaaaaaay better with the scorcher body!!

What about front tires at maximum steering and suspension compression? Aren't rubbing the fenders?
