Default n00b's Twin Hammers

I finally got my Twin Hammers box today! It's a nice box.

Quick notes:
Dimensions - 20"x13"x9-1/2"
Weight - 10 lbs. 1oz.
Make - Vaterra
Color - Green, white and orange
Theme - Black and green truck

Initial impressions:
The box was a lot smaller than I expected for the price. I guess $400 only gets you a 20" long box these days. I remember when $300 would get you a 24" box. Anyway, the lack of box size was made up with the awesome angled end. Now that is rare in a box! I love this box! And the weight? Over 10 pounds! That is a hefty box let me tell you. I was shocked at how they could get this much weight into this size of a box. Better value than an SCX10 box I think. Also, there is no lack of content on this box. Trucks, people, green, and so on.

Here are some pictures.

I can't get enough of that angle!

Comparison of the Twin Hammers next to an SCX10. The Twin Hammers has a higher center of gravity than the SCX10. That kinda worries me. It does have a wider stance though. I still might have to lower it.

I know it's early, but this might be the best box of the year. I can't wait to take it outside!

Let us know how the box does compared to that of the Axial box!

What's the plans for future mods? Upgrade staples, glue or tape?

I think it will be ok since it is more aerodynamic than the Dingo. Much better stylistic cues IMO.

Can you verify that its waterproof? It looks splash proof.

So far it's handling better.

I'm going to keep it simple. Maybe some tape and paint. I want to keep it a fun and dependable box.

Yeah, I might add a spare box to the back of the box.

I'm not sure about the boxes sexual orientation so I have no comment.

I took it outside for a shakedown run.

Rolled it. Luckily there was no damage.

I am wondering what you are going to come up with, as far as a yota body on that. What ever you do it will be badass.

I've read that it's water resistant. It was snowing and there was no damage to report. I wouldn't recommend submerging it in water for very long though.

LMAO

So will that box need a BEC or will the super stylish angled box compensate for the need for a funtioning unit ?

1: Cut a hole in a box
2: Put your junk in that box
3: Make her open the box
