Re: Szczerba's

i guess it would act as the weak link

Re: Szczerba's

gears wont spin...you want the weak link outside of the gear box or in this case diff case...easy to swap. good job bud, looks like those MTZ's are the way to go.

Szczerba's

Paper locker lasted about 5 minutes. It was worth the try.

Setup a Terra-X course at the Superlift ORV in Hot Springs for the Race next weekend. Couple pics. Video up later testing the course out. MTZs were a touch short for this course. Swapped to the hammers.

13.5 Tekin with 22t pinion on 3s is a great setup. Hight an low gears.

Re: Szczerba's

Also, my truck is jumping nose heavy and I have to be on the throttle a little to keep it flat in the air. Pretty sure it's the IFS front not rebounding as the same rate as the rear. Nature of the IFS. And the varied shock Lengths. So I'll be taking all the preload out of the rear shock springs and jumping it tomorrow.
I put in rear shock limiters to keep the front end from lifting in the corners when heavy on the electrons.

Very cool Shane. I was checking one of these out at the hobby shop over the weekend and thought it wasn't for me, now I am starting to wonder...

Yea, I wasn't sure At first.
But It's a great mix of crawling and bashing out of the box. I setup the stock shift servo on my 4pks and haven't had any issues after five 2200 packs. Shifts great.

Front locker will be in a few days but I am getting the hang of crawling/driving with the front diff. You can see in the videos above, if you pick the right line and carry some speed you can get through some light crawling sections.

I took all the preload out of the rear shocks but limited them by 8mm so they won't swat as much. Helps with cornering and seemed to keep the rear axle from preloading as much off the jumps.

The Exo bits look great on there. Loving the new spare location. Get that weight down a little lower!

Thanks. The spare will get a long screw through the wheel to the back of the battery tray. I'll redrill new hole to fix the rear most brace and cut off some of the rear of the chassis. I am liking cutting and drilling holes in this new rig.
