Default transmission shift shaft isn't smooth

Having some problems with my tranny shift shaft controlled by the shift servo. it does not glide back and forth smooth at all, it sticks too much. i tried a dab of lube but it still doesn't glide.

i took the arm off the shift servo and tried to pull/push it, and it keeps getting stuck a lot.

any body else with this problem? advice?

Are you shifting while the wheels spin, it's not design to shift while stopped.

correct

what i'm talking about however, when i put it into a neutral state (roll forward where the cogs line up and you can push/pull the arm in/out), as mentioned, the arm does not glided back and forth smoothly.
it sticks and slips, like friction most of the time.

Hhhmm, I'm not sure then! From your pic it looks like grooves are scraped across that rod through the grease, you might pull that apart and clean everything really well to make sure your not getting any kind of grit through that shaft. I also wonder if you would be better to use something like wd40 or dry lube instead of grease.

i did use a lube
it might be a micro grit built up making it scrape on the hole in the tranny case causing it stick/slip.

Have the same problem but did not yet try anything. I guess I will try rebuilding the gear/shifting block completely.

If you need that part I have an extra from Horizon they sent me.
That part you circled should be smooth. As the marks would not be coming from the gears inside. The marks would be up and down not side to side.

I have the same issue. Took mine apart and the cheap cast aluminum shift fork is pivoting on the shaft just enough to let it bind up and not shift.
