Default where do you put a wench

Hi I'm looking to put a wench on my th but have no clue where to start. I was looking at one that had it's own remote so I wouldn't have to change my rx and Rc. Thanks for your input in advance.

Usually the wench goes in the passenger seat, however since the Twin Hammers is a single seater I'd just leave her back at camp to make sandwiches.

you dont need no winch, back up 3 feet, put it in high gear and pull the trigger

Me and my son play with rc's together and he crashes a lot. (he's 4) and he likes to use this little bungees I have as tow ropes to flip the Rc back on it's wheels. A winch seemed like the next logical step. Plus my th is my first scale truck that I want to customize.

I'm wondering about this wench-winch thing too. Do they make one with a good keychain remote or something? I hate to switch out my radio and receivers just for an extra channel for a winch I hardly ever use. Also if anyone has mounted a wench on the passenger side post up a pic!

RC4WD makes a winch with a keychain remote.

I'm in the process of making an all-in-one super mount. It will be a vertical shock mount, upper brace, forward steering servo mount and a servo winch mount. All in this little chassis. I will post pics when its all done.

What do you guys think of this for a solution for controlling your wench [ahem] I mean winch?

Install a toggle switch on the CH3 signal so that it can feed either the transmission or the winch.
When it is time to winch, flip the toggle. The shift servo will stay where it was (I think) and then CH3 would work the winch instead of the shifter.
Then you would need to run my Winch Controller for Radio with 2 Position Third Channel in order to work the winch.

I did that on my TW40 TTC 2.2 rig. It seemed to work.

Except I had 5 channels.
