Tonka Yellow Loving my Twin Hammers. I've had several R/C cars and trucks and this is one of my favorites. All stock except for homemade aluminum body panels. http://drive.google.com/uc?export=vi...mNGbU9VR3lNR2c http://drive.google.com/uc?export=vi...zlfclJyLW1vdEU http://drive.google.com/uc?export=vi...HAzNlZydWRNLWc http://drive.google.com/uc?export=vi...mV2eWVfRlEyR1k |

Re: Tonka Yellow Thanks for the comments. Body panels were pretty easy actually. Made templates with paper, cut them out with tin snips and cleaned up the edges. Next thing to replace is the steering servo. Stock is pretty weak. Just put in 200k diff oil in the front and really noticed it more. |
Re: Tonka Yellow Is that actual paint or stickers/decals? I've done lexan painting, but nothing with aluminum, and I am trying to gauge my options... ETA: Great looking rig btw! |
Re: Tonka Yellow Paint. Some decals on the front. Used Valspar primer, white, and yellow. Covered it all with 3 coats of satine clear coat. |
Re: Tonka Yellow Thanks for the info, just coated mine last night. I still need to add another coat or two of clear coat, but it came out great (cherry red). |
