Quick question............. Do you even need the templates?? I just covered the aluminum sheet in masking tape and then pressed the panels flat onto the sheet and traced them with a sharpie.... stuck the sharpie in the holes and left a dot where the screw holes should be. Then cut them with tin snips

Thank you all very much. I just got my TH yesterday, and now I can't wait to get to work on some new skins for it to bash in.

Sorry I have not been on in a few weeks. Does anyone know if there is a way to just host them on the forum?

Could probably be made into a sticky with how popular it's becoming.

A buddy of mine got me an awesome piece of 1/8 inch aluminum today at work for free, it was in their scrap pile. I can get at least one set, if not 2 out of it complete. Is this to think? What thickness do you all use?

Thank you.

What about hosting them on a file hosting site and posting the link?

1/8 is fairly thick, but doable with patience. You may have to countersink the panels for the screws. Most panels are .020-.030. Roughly half your thickness.

Ok. Thank you so much. Maybe I will use this sheet for something custom on my T-Maxx's.

I'd recommend using it for skid plates or bracket work

What has everyone been using to cut them out with? I used a pair of tin snips, and I don't really like the way it did the metal.

I plan to use either a dremel or one of those rotary cutters.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD so it probably autocorrected something wrong.
