Default jebster's twin hammers

I've had mine for awhile so I decided to post up a build thread. When I got mine it was used and pretty much stock (minus an mip driveshafts in the rear). Ran it for awhile and had a lot of run but them the modifications began. Here is where it stands as of today.

- Hitec steering (with bec) and shift servos
- used some old nitro linkages on the shift mechanism to help prevent servo damage
- Mamba micro pro and a 35t motor
- gmade xd piggyback shocks (103 in the rear, 85 up front)
- HR castor blocks; used the lower hole to mount he upper link so that the reservoir doesn't hit)
- traxxas bellcrank steering mod with custom mounting plate
- custom upright front shock setup
- 3racing winch with heyok controller
- VP slw 2.2 wheels with 1.9 tires

I'm going more for the Crawler side of things so trying to give a front weight bias. Everything is coming together nicely, although my winch mounting location has to be moved forward and down because as is it is too high and hits the hood.

More to come but I wanted to start somewhere. I really like this rig and have a lot more planned for it. Will take a few pics and get them posted soon.

Made a new winch bracket to tuck it further up front and lower. Worked out nice.

I did get it out for a little run time this weekend. Steering worked out great. The 35t left a little to be desired. Stock 15t way to fast for me, 35t a little to slow. Think I'm going to try and pick up 27t and see if that is the right blend of torque and speed.

No idea. I picked up the gmade shock new in package from a guy here on rcc and there were no springs in the bag. Go figure. I had some old buggy springs that I put on into I get some new shocks. I want to get the softest springs possible.

What brand 25t do you have? I'm looking at the hh torquemaster sport but that only comes in 13t or 27t.

I had expert cans that holmes made some 30 and 25t arms for. It was pretty cheap as I recall.

Picked up some panels from carterfab that were on sale. Added a fairlead for the winch and a hook. It is coming together.

That's so sick with those body panels and that fairlead mounted like that. I thought I wanted a wraith but may have just changed my mind.

I have to thank carterfab for the panels. Fit is perfect. I do need to decide if I'm going to paint them or just polish them up.

definite hats off in salute on that plate and crank design - what are the shocks mounts? You should look into selling them package as a package a la others. I've been considering the DD kit or trying to do something like what you have but using SCX10 mounts - no offense but yours are a little to high for the look I'm after. Again, nice work. hope you are proud, should be
