I wish vaterra or the aftermarket would make a drop in replacement to get a limited slip rear end...

Parts ordered. I am likely going to offer pre-fabbed axle shafts so a guy can drop in diff gears in. Should be a pretty simple service to offer. I will post up when I have it nailed down

Chris sounds good to me. If you want to start a list for pre-orders, put me on top of the list.

Sorry: resurrecting an old, (but valuable!) thread

Hi Biggamehunter,

I was reading this thread about your TH and about opening up the rear diff on post #93 (my twin hammers , starting an upgrade)

That's a mod I am keen to make on mine as well and I am trying to get as much information as I can. The pictures on your post have disappeared thanks to the recent Photobucket usage policy and I was hoping you still have those photos and if you can upload them again on the thread.

If not, do you have any measurements/drawings you can share? I.e.: how far from the end of the square portion of the rear axle shaft did you drill? It is a 2mm hole isn't it?
How much did you have to shave off the square parts to allow for free movement of the diff?
Also, I haven't tried adding extra seals, but in my dry test fitting, there are gaps between square end and the round hole that would let diff oil out. How did you seal that?

Thanks a lot and great thread!
Cheers
