Hard to tell but the OD looks a lil bigger , shaft looks very similar tho .... Someone has got to own these things , any help someone haha ...... I really just wanna see a pic of the piston to see if they changed design !

I received a set of the short course 110mm shocks yesterday and they as larger in diameter an use a Piston and Bladder. Very similar to proline shocks.

Drilled a couple start holes and used an airsaw to cut the rest.

Here is the rebuild kit for the short course.



Thinking of using a pair for the rear but one with out the springs, fill with oil and drill more holes in pistion. Also wish I had a way to turn down the case enough to get rid of the threads.

You could also take a look at IRIE Products page. He is also making some. Big difference is that his uses bearing not bushings.

I was also looking at the IRIE bellcrank wondering if I could mount the Derwood shock tower to his top plate. As I really like the looks of the Derwood tower and so far his bellcrank has been pretty good but time will tell how the bushings hold up.

@ mnickolson do you know if two of the short course King shocks will fit next to each other in the lower control arms being they are larger in diameter?

I'm only interested in Derwood's design, it's exactly what I'm looking for in my build gives it a unique look.

wheelbyte to answer your question not on the VP lowers. They are just to big and even on the BMRC shock mount they are to close.

That's what I was thinking thanks for the photos! I think a short course and possibly a ultra scale shock might fit side by side. It also looks like the bottom shock end on the SC Kings is thinner than the piggyback ones which might help with them hitting on the lower arms which is common. How are you going to run the Kings on your TH?

Rigth now I am thinking of try'n 2 pair or the scale ones on the rear and a set of sc on the front. The scale one I have stink on the front but I have talked to a guy running 2 sets on the rear and he says they work fine.

So I got out a bit this past weekend and scouted out a new spot to run.... its in a county park near my house. Endless lines a really fun place.
