Default Wheelbyte's Twin Hammers

Got back into RC's awhile back spent the last year or so building up a couple 2WD Slash's for my son and I to have fun with... its been a blast. A few months ago I purchased a Twin Hammers as I was looking for something a little more scale and would be fun to trail as well as go out with my kids and still bash once in awhile.

Finally decided it was time to start a build thread.

Started with ESC and motor upgrade alonf with Aluminum hex's and 500K diff fluid.

MMP & Tekin ROC412 3100kv

I originally shot the stock body with PlastiDip while it looked cool it did not hold up all that well

I recently added the Derwood front shock mount along with their steering kit. I am also running 90mm Kings up front and the 110mm Faux PiggyBacks out back

I also added a Jevine Racing battery tray along with some Carter Fab panels

I recently got some GearHead Sixer Beadlocks and am going to run the RC4WD Mickey Thompson 4.19 Baja Claws

Will have to post more photos once I get them mounted up......

I love it..... Super smooth and tons of torque. I have a veilneon in my slash and it's a nice motor too but the roc412 is different beast. I have not messed with gearing on my TH and am running stock gearing so it's a tad slower than my slash but plenty of speed for this platform.

Be cautious with those 90mm shocks. You'll have too much downstroke on jumps and the front CV's will pop out unless you internally limit them. Quite a few people have had that happen ...myself included :(

Yeah I am running it "smart" sensored with the Castle MMP. No cogging at all very smooth throttle throughout the entire range.

No problems so far with the 90mm Kings.......I'll have to keep an eye on them though.

-Upper Ti Links
-Lower dual mount arms
-upper shock mounting kit
-added RC4WD ultra scale 110mm shocks to run as damperners. Removed the internal spring and added 20wt oil to them

Where did you get the Gearhead wheels from? Everywhere I have checked doesn't have them in stock.

I got them at RPP Hobby...... But I see both the Hammer 5 spoke and the Sixer are both out of stock at the moment.

Hunh? $100 for 4 high quality wheels isn't bad at all and they come with everything you need to mount them up. Not like the Vanquish wheels. Now those are high dollar.
