I usually don't buy built rigs but I couldn't pass this one up that BC Racing was selling as a roller. Dinky R/C built the topper.

Specs from the for sale ad.

Cage has been shot with primer (brown color)
Stock Parts: Pan, Transmission, Rear Axle, Front Diff/IFS and both Servo’s
Aluminum Hex’s, F/R Locker‘s, F/R Sway Bar’s (with the extra bars F/R)
Derwood Designs Double D Steering Kit
Blue Monkey RC Aluminum Rear Lower Links (Stock Length/Dual Shock)
Blue Monkey RC Titanium Rear Upper Links
RC4WD 70mm King Shocks (2x) Front
RC4WD 100mm King Shocks w/faux reservoirs (2x) Rear
RC4WD 100mm Ultimate Scale Shocks (2x) Rear
3Racing 1/10 Winch and controller (new)
ERTL LS1 Die-Cast Scale Engine

How I got it.

I sent Duuuuuuuude some LED strips and various diameters of delrin rod. Got back some waterproofed, sweet LED bars.

Random picture.

HPI mini trophy truck interior will go in. Figure may be too small so i have an Apache interior in the mail.

Apache is a lot bigger than the TT interior. They are almost too big looking in my 2.2 Trophy rig.

Looks like its going to be a fun rig.

I'm also enjoying your choice in livery. Very nontraditional stuff there.

I've been noticing that on some builds as well with the apache interior. That's why I am going to see how the Trophy truck one looks.

Should be fun. That LS1 is about 6oz, not sure how the rig will react in climbing situations. I know the extra weigh will help the suspension do more work.

Livery. The panels will get painted silver or I will go with thin metal.

Man do you ever sleep!

Looks good, would look better if you chopped the top.

Too lazy to chop it up. I like the taller cab.

Got bored today so I decided to make some panel tabs out of 16ga. Tapped for 3mm. I just ordered a gang of these from Carterfabandmachine.com yesterday but got impatient.

So, homebrew 90s.

thanks. When I saw the side profile in the FS section, I knew it was going to be mine. Something about the boxy-tallish look. I usually don't buy rollers but it was too cool and it needed to be finished out, so I knew I could make it look even better.

Panels are sprayed with matte aluminum but I am not liking the look. Ill continue on with these plastic panels but will probably use thin sheet metal for the panels. Trying to have this ready to go by Saturday night for a Sunday morning trail run.
