Default Upgardes for twin hammers?

So i have a twin hammers and im ready to start doing some upgrades i already have a sidewinder sct combo but what are some others to help with performance im mostly doing speed and what crawling u do its just dirt mounds or a little bit of rocks. So what are some good upgardes. And also i DO NOT want those stupid stand up shocks i think they ruin the whole look and performance or the truck.

Don't come in here asking for advice and then argue with the answers you get. Fact of the matter is the stock front shock setup sucks. I ditched it as soon as I could. Guess what, the truck handles bumps and jumps better than ever and can actually be adjusted to personal preference.

Methinks you should be building plastic static models until you do some reading and come to terms with reality.
And, If you really (?) tried stand-up shocks and they were not a vast improvement over the non-scale wacky bellcrank system,
you must have done something horribly wrong and again, you should be reading.

Uprights are the way to go sir. Keep browsing this TWH forum and you'll see. If you wanted to stay scale and keep the look, well thats another thing, but upright offers a huge performance increase.

Upright front shocks, front locker, and rear mip driveshaft are my recommended upgrades.

I havent broken my rear drive shaft yet. It looks scratched up from the rocks but its not in terrible shape. The MIP is just stronger right?

Correct. Metal beats plastic. Plus it can handle more angle on the driveshaft with no binding. I never broke mine but going to brushless I decided to do it so I didn't have a breakdown on the trail.

steering servo, GCM rear diff truss, GCM Uprights and if you really hate it the +1 inch blue monkey rear arms kit & +1" MIP shaft makes a huge difference and actually works your front cantilever style(but GCM Uprights are way better), new tires, it makes a huge performance upgrade, then motor and esc and your laughing!

well then, sway bars front and rear, i think most ppl are using the medium one, steering servo should last you but its slow so you probs want to change it for a faster one, tires are ok, but there deff better ones for going fast, and get a brushless combo going and rear mip driveshaft, you should be good! and if your jumping it, and you still dont want to go upright shocks get that aluminum front plate (that goes under you stock shocks) those always break

My 1/16 Traxxas is waaaaay better at going fast than my TH and both have tons of work in 'em.
It's not that the Traxxas is so great at it, it's that......

whether you are crawling or just going balls out and doing crazy jumps the stand up shocks are definitely the way to go-I prefer the GCM as you can get more adjustability with this product. They offer more stability and damping through turns and jumps enabling you to get better grip needed in both crawling and rock racing. The cantilever style shocks really are terrible and offer very little in terms of shock absorbency. Try them before you criticize them-and no you haven't tried them yet because you originally posted saying that you are ready to start to do some upgrades. You just dont like the look. Vaterra designed the vehicle this way but have openly admitted that the stand up shocks help the vehicle perform better but haven't changed this stock as other providers already provide the necessary parts for people to do this change 'if they want to'. Other upgrades I would recommend are the rear Truss-again for stability and performance, MIP rear drive shaft and 500k dif oil in front dif locker. This will enable better grip for front wheels without putting too much tension through the front that you will get with the dif locker and which can often causes breakages.
