yeah, I tried it, looks bit funny though and puts a lot of strain on the motor - heated up quite a bit, so you'll have to gear down a bit. but crawling is great, much more capable.rock grabbers on ali rimms Last edited by whitepuff; 06-20-2014 at 03:10 PM. |

Here a couple of different 2.2 set ups that I experimented with. The first two pics are of my twin hammer when it was brand new. I was just messing around with these rc4wd hollowpoints 2.2 tires, way to tall though, they rubbed really bad on the chassis. The TH was constantly on it lid, just to tall, but these tires were awesome in the snow. Next I tried some Mickey Thompson MTZ 2.2 tires, they were right around 4.75 to 5" tall, rubbed just a little bit. Descent on the rock, awesome basher! Just thought after a while that the tires were just to wide, didn't look scale to the rig! |

Personal preference and all that but 2.2 rims look wayyyyy too big on the TH.

Are y'all running wideners with those 2.2s? Does it affect the steering? Supposedly it will increase the scrub radius (reduce steering, increase stress on steering system)

Panther cobra 2.2 they look like plow bows but are low profile 2.2 just a tad shorter then the stock kit tires, soft compound they dig innor stick to everything. I can't post a pic yet but if anybody wants send me a pm and I can email or text you one.....and for gods sake if you do run them get sir iries front axles they are abusive on the drivetrain,
