Default Homemade front upright shock mount?

I was talking to a buddy and we got on the subject of the upright front shock mounts for the TH. Some of them look OK some of them are overpriced and some of them are not all that appealing to the eye IMO.
SO....I have some left over shock hoops from a scx10 and I know I've seen one done like this but for the life of me I've searched and searched and can't find it.So if anyone can help me out with a link to it or pics of one that's been built..Or hell give me a rummer of how to make it....lol
ANYTHING should help...Thanks guys and gals.. (I found a way to do it..keep looking to see how I did it.)

Personally I liked the look of the Derwood set-up, with the shocks poking out of the hood. Would be pretty easy to fab up as well. Can just see them poking out of the hood.

Wouldn't work if you want the battery there obviously, but I like the clean front end (and I've never bent a shock mount!)

OK to start with this thread was a huge help... Outbound shock set-up on the cheap

First thing I did was tore into the front end and got out all the old stuff.

Then I did some measuring and got all the parts together.

I took the piece of 3 1/8 inch 4/40 all thread and threaded it into one side of the shock tower.I then took the piece of 2 5/8 ind 1/4 inch brake line and slid it on the all thread. Then I spun the other shock hoop on until it was tight.Making this.

I used that to sit on the hood to find out where I would need to cut.

I then took the two 3 5/8 inch pieces of all thread and two of the nuts and put the nuts on the ends.
I put them through one side of the shock hoop and ran it under the chassis two the other side and through the other shock hoop. Then put on the other nuts on the other side.Leaving them loose.I then put two zip ties on the rear piece of all thread and the chassis braces that run diagonally. I put the hood on ,got it where I wanted it then tightened the nuts down.I put in the small hood screws. The last thing I did was take my drimal and shave down the ends of the all thread.

I then put on the shocks.

Nice write up Tiny. Much better job describing the process than I did.
As for durability questions, mines still going strong.
